Similarly, regarding the measurement for digging the hearth, it is said, "For pacifying, the measurement is one cubit," etc. The mouth is about one cubit wide, and digging half a cubit deep is the hearth for pacifying. Others should be understood as stated. For pacifying and increasing, surround them with a garland of lotuses. For others, surround them with a garland of vajras. Thus, everything should be understood accordingly. This is the commentary on the eighth chapter. Ninth Chapter: Commentary on the Formidable Yama's Slayer. Then, regarding the "seed of accomplishment," recite four hundred thousand times over mustard seeds, and if you scatter it, it will revive. Having taken earth from the stream, etc. A stream is where a small stream flows; take earth from there. Make an effigy of Yama's enemy with one face and two arms. It is explained that it should be made with ashes from the charnel ground, etc. Make it into white powder, with the right hand holding a vajra and the left holding an eye. Face yourself to the south, place it in front, and offer the torma of Go Kuda Hana, etc., as stated, every day. Then, for seven days, recite the secret mantra with the imperative words, one hundred thousand times each day, and then that enemy will die. This is the commentary on the ninth chapter.
