In particular, according to the type of activity, burn offerings with special mantras. The color, smell, and shape of the flame, images, sounds, etc., are all auspicious. With the auspiciousness of merit, offer the burnt offerings into the fire. White is for peaceful activities, yellow is for increasing activities, red is for subjugating activities, and black is best for wrathful activities. The shape of the flame is like a bow and arrow, and it is best if the burning flame rotates to the right. The sound is as deep as the sound of a drum, oily, and the tip of the flame gathers together. The smoke is thick, with sparks, rising gradually, slowly and steadily. The light is intermittent, but dazzling. When there is no oil, the flame appears black. Some flames are the color of meat, and the tip of the flame is like the sun. Some flames are like a bull's head. Inauspicious signs appear. These are all symbols. At the end of the burning, the fire is extinguished, and with special flowers, incense, and other offerings, invite the deities to return with these verses: Having accomplished the benefit of myself and others, after receiving the burnt offerings, please return at the appropriate time and grant me all accomplishments. When extinguishing the fire, white represents peaceful and increasing activities. When extinguishing with water, white and yellow represent subjugating activities, etc., and red and black represent wrathful activities. om gili gili hūṃ ja svāhā. Om, gili, gili, hūṃ, ja, svāhā.) With this mantra, pour the ashes, incense, flowers, and drum sounds into the river. The explanation of the eighth chapter is complete.

Chapter Nine: Explanation of the Terrifier, the Slayer of Yama. The ritual for causing rain is described, such as the place of the ocean, etc. It is also close to indicating the side that has not been found, that is, water should be taken from both sides of rivers, streams, ponds, pools, marshes, and wells. The so-called one Naga is a manifestation of the water deity in the center of an eight-petaled lotus made of clay, with seven heads, a male face, and two hands. The right hand holds a sword, and the left hand holds a lasso, born from the letter Pam (藏文:པཾ་). The eastern petal is blue-green like an endless blue lotus. The southern petal is white like wealth. The western petal is red like enjoyment. The northern petal is black like strength. The fire petal is red like a lotus. The truthless petal is white like a great lotus. The wind petal is yellow like a conch shell guardian. The powerful petal is multi-colored like a lineage holder. These are also praised by manifesting the letter Nam (藏文:ནཱཾ་) seven times on the clay, born from the letter Nam. Place the palms together at the heart, and observe each head of the manifestation. The so-called Om Pu rejoicing in the heart is: Om Hrih Shti Vikritanana Hum Hum! Sapta Vatalagatana Naga Akarshaya Hara Jaya. Phu Phu Phu Phu Phu Phu Phu Phu Hum! Write these on paper and place them in the heart of everything. The so-called reciting the mantra Hrih Shti, etc., is to recite the mantra placed in the heart, in accordance with the yoga of the Slayer of Yama, and adorn oneself with an angry mind, all ornaments being blue. The tails of the Nagas dwelling in the eight directions are thoroughly suppressed by the seven waters in the center, and one should visualize that all their heads are also suppressed by the Slayer of Yama. One should also repeatedly visualize that the abodes of all the Nagas are in the form of flames. Manifesting as an assembly of the Slayer of Yama, tormented by various weapons, if one recites this ten thousand times, rain will surely fall without fail. One can also take what is seen in other places and do this: request the construction of the mandala of the Slayer of Yama, and then make a small pond in the direction of the wind. In the center of it, place the Nagas in bowls with their lids closed.
