The vastness of the wheel is the ultimate yoga. The yoga that becomes the great lord of blessings is called the great yoga. The initial yogi should meditate on the four yogas in three sessions until the coarse form of the deity yoga appears clearly. In the morning session, invite the deity; in the evening session, dismiss the deity; and at noon, simply generate and dissolve the mandala in the heart. When the coarse limbs are seen, and until the subtle aspects such as the Vajra Body are realized, one has some control over wisdom. From protecting the four sessions onwards, and until the ultimate yoga, contemplate briefly, and meditate on the great yoga with reverence. When one sees the Vajra Body and so on as freely as a fruit in the palm of one's hand, one has attained mastery over wisdom, so there is no fixed time for sessions, and one should meditate on the perfection stage as explained. Thereafter, when one is firmly established in emptiness and can bless appearances as one wishes upon arising, this is called having truly attained mastery over wisdom, being liberated from fixed activities, and abiding as an accomplished being. The meaning of the words is easy to understand. Now, since the yogi who meditates in this way must protect the vows in four ways, one should not despise the vajra master. The vows are taught by saying, "One should not despise the teacher," and so on. As it is said, the vajra master is the one who has given the empowerment. Disrespecting him is holding grudges and finding ways to despise him, and such things should be abandoned. If one does not abandon them here, it is a root downfall, as it is said: "Even if one practices, one will not attain accomplishment if one reviles the teacher from the heart." Taking instructions and so on from someone, and then thinking, "What is the use of having heard these instructions and so on?" is being stingy and reviling the teacher from the heart. So it is said. Therefore: "Even if the teacher who shows the mandala behaves badly, one should never criticize him with body, speech, or mind." So it is said. Is only the one who gives empowerment the teacher?

What is a teacher? Whoever gives empowerment and teaches the tantras, and from whom one receives the essential instructions for practice, is a teacher. These three should be regarded as teachers, for they are without jealousy and desire to benefit. Therefore: Whoever reads the sacred texts, Explains and reveals the essential instructions, Gives empowerment and performs actions, Is called a teacher. Thus it is said in verse. Furthermore, Even if one hears only a single verse, And does not regard the one who taught it as a guru, One will be born a hundred times as a dog, And will even be born as a leper. Thus it is said. Therefore, in "The Secret Moon Bindu" it says: Quickly to the Vajra Master, Because you desire the accomplishment of mantra, With reverence and respect, Direct yourself with utmost intensity. Never should the Vajra Master's, Mind be disturbed, For if you seek wisdom, You will quickly fall into hell. Diseases and harms, and all enemies, Obstacles and near-harms, and poisons themselves, Those who revile the feet of the Master, That great fool will die. From the Guru, accomplishments are obtained, The Guru is heaven, the Guru is bliss, Therefore, with all diligence, Do not transgress the Guru's command. Thus it is said. Knowing this, not pleasing him, Fearlessness is perfected here. One should not transgress the command of the Sugata. This is like what was said earlier at the time of writing, like despising the command. "Companion" means one who has received empowerment from the same teacher in the same mandala, and one should not speak of their faults due to jealousy or other reasons. Loving-kindness means desiring to accomplish unsurpassed benefit and happiness, so it should never be transgressed. Bodhicitta means desiring to separate others from suffering and its causes, so the object of desire is compassion, and from then on it should not be abandoned, not even for a moment. "Self and other dharma" refers to the dharma of one's own and others' tenets, and "should not be reviled" means that one should not refute it with arguments, because beings gradually enter and become enlightened only through their own desired vehicle, and forcibly reversing their desire is only a cause for increasing hatred, so it should be abandoned. Therefore
