Therefore, this path is to show the behavior of controlling women, so it is not something that should be abandoned, because scriptures such as the "Holy Great Secret Skillful Means Sutra" should also be abandoned. Furthermore, holding an extremely ugly body like a Rakshasa, for those sentient beings who cannot be subdued by peace, this itself is a supreme means. Therefore, in order to subdue sentient beings, one transforms into a wrathful deity free from defilements. So it is said. In the Noble Array of the Tree Trunk Sutra, in the chapter on revealing the liberation of the great deity, it is also said: "Son of good family, furthermore, I bless those sentient beings who are intoxicated by the joy of desire and completely attached to the enjoyment of objects, so that those objects become unpleasant. To those who are oppressed by anger, those who are arrogant, those who are fat and haughty, and those who are subdued by pride, I manifest a fierce and terrifying body like a Rakshasa, with the appearance of eating flesh and drinking blood, thereby pacifying all conflicts arising from pride and conceit. To the lazy and so forth, I fully reveal the fear of fire, water, kings, thieves, and harm to the lazy, the diligent, and sentient beings, causing them to become weary, and thereby placing them in the practice of diligence. Thus, through these methods, I completely destroy all aspects that are not in accordance with the perfections, accumulate the collections of all the perfections, completely transcend all the precipices of the mountains of obscurations, and in order to grasp the unobstructed Dharma, I completely turn away from all non-virtue, thereby placing all perfect virtue on the right path." So it is said. In other sutras it is also said: "For those who are extremely wicked and violent, peace cannot benefit them. Vajradhara, seeing this, transforms himself into a joyful Vajra." So it is said. Therefore, the body of the wrathful deity should not be disparaged. Similarly, the body that causes others to be extremely attached, such as the limbless Vajra, should not be disparaged. Because some people do not believe in anything that is not pleasing to the eye, therefore that is supreme. Therefore: He who is by nature free from attachment and aversion, and for the sake of subduing, appears wrathful to the wrathful, and shows attachment to those with attachment, to that supreme abode of enlightenment, I prostrate. He who knows actions and their ripening, and how they accord with all beings, and follows accordingly with the form of secret mantras, to that guide of mantras, I prostrate. So it is said.
