For those who cannot be subdued by peaceful means, this itself is the supreme method. Therefore, in the Holy "Gathering of Them," it is also said: Emaho, I possess the great method of subduing with skillful means. Because of the way to subdue sentient beings, I have become an immaculate wrathful one. Thus it is said. In the Holy "Arrayed Trunk Sutra," in the teaching on the liberation of the great god, it is also said: Son of good family, furthermore, I bless those sentient beings who are intoxicated by the joy of desire and are completely attached to the enjoyment of objects, so that those objects become unpleasant. To those who are oppressed by anger, and to the arrogant, and to the fat and haughty, and to those who are subdued by contempt, I show a fierce and Rakshasa-like body that is unpleasant and frightening, with the appearance of eating flesh and drinking blood, and I pacify all the conflicts that arise from contempt and arrogance. To the lazy and so forth, to the lazy, to the diligent sentient beings, I fully show the fear of fire, water, kings, thieves, and harm, causing them to become weary, and I place them in the practice of diligence. Thus, with these and other methods, I utterly destroy all aspects that are not in harmony with the perfections, accumulate all the collections of the perfections, completely escape from all the precipices of the mountains of obscurations, and in order to grasp the unobstructed Dharma, I completely turn away from all non-virtue and perfectly establish all virtuous perfections on the right path. Thus it is said. Furthermore, it is said in other texts: For those who are extremely wicked and violent, peace will not bring benefit; seeing this, Vajradhara himself transformed into a joyful Vajra. Thus it is said. Therefore, one should not disparage the body of the wrathful deity. Similarly, one should not disparage the body that causes others to be extremely attached, such as the limbless Vajra, because some people do not believe in anything that is not pleasing to the eye, therefore this itself is supreme. Therefore, to the one who is free from inherent attachment and aversion, who shows wrath to the wrathful for the sake of subduing, and who appears like one with desire to those with desire, I prostrate to the supreme being who abides in enlightenment! Knowing karma and its maturation, how it is in accordance with all sentient beings, following with the form of secret mantra.

Showing a wrathful countenance. I prostrate to the guide of mantras! Thus it is said. Therefore, in order to prove with reason and scripture the act of killing, the speech of controlling women, holding a fearful body, and holding a desirous body, one should respectfully enter this king of tantras. Those who wish to enter should also understand the rules of this tantra as follows: from "Thus I have heard" to "the only method" is the introduction. Then, from Vajrapani, the Blessed One, the lord of all Tathagatas, being summoned by Vajrasattva, to the eighteenth chapter being regarded as the core, is the initiation. After that, from the Blessed One, the lord of all Tathagatas, to the end of the seventeenth chapter, is the actual tantra. The lord of secrets, the supreme Vajra family, spoke thus in order to pacify the hordes of demons, which explains who spoke this tantra and why. When entering the main text of the tantra, the first chapter explains the realization of the practitioner's path. The second chapter explains the praise, the blessing of the six limbs, and the display of the mandala. The third chapter explains the prayer for drawing the mandala, tasting the nectar, invoking the wheel of wisdom, and so on, as well as the determination of the seats of the deities, the deity yoga of the four actions, and the union of actions. The fourth and fifth chapters explain the actions of the illusion wheel. The sixth chapter explains the determination of mudras, vows, empowerment, torma, and the actions of the illusion wheel. The seventh chapter explains the specific actions and empowerment of the four goddesses. The eighth chapter explains the wheel of protection of the command, introducing disciples, blessing with emptiness, blessing offerings, blessing the body of fruition, and actions performed through fire offerings.
