The order is like this: When pressing the vajra seat under the Bodhi tree, the desire outflows were exhausted in the first part of the night, subduing the son of the gods. In the second part of midnight, the divine eye was opened, seeing all the worlds, and in the third part of dawn, the ignorance outflows were exhausted, subduing the afflictive demon. In the city of Grass Victory, for the sake of the patron Brahmin woman Jeta, the life force of three months was blessed, and the outflows of existence were exhausted, subduing the death demon. After that, knowing the time of Nirvana, he abandoned his life force, exhausted the view outflows, and subdued the aggregate demon. Some say that these two were subdued on the banks of the Nairanjana River, relying on half a sesame seed's worth of food, during the six years of asceticism, subduing the death demon and the aggregate demon, which is also true. Even if subdued there, it only manifests the meaning of subduing here. Therefore, it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra that the death demon and the aggregate demon were subdued in the city of Grass Victory. In the Mahayana of Bodhisattvas, the so-called "Bhagavan" is one who has subdued poverty, evil destinies, ugly appearances, lack of fame, lack of majesty, and ignorance in sequence with the six perfections, and therefore possesses the fruit of freedom, excellence, beauty, fame, majesty, and wisdom. It is also said now: Freedom and excellence, beauty and fame and majesty, wisdom, diligence, and hearing, these six are desired to be called Bhagavan. In the Vajrayana, the so-called "Bhagavan" is, from the perspective of Mind-Only, one who has subdued the alaya consciousness and the afflicted mind, as well as the discriminating consciousness and the five sense consciousnesses, and therefore possesses the six wisdoms like a mirror, equality, individuality, action, the realm of phenomena, and a vajra. In the state of Madhyamaka, all afflictions are subdued by non-dual wisdom, and one possesses non-discriminating wisdom. It has also been said: After afflictions are subdued by wisdom, wisdom is also subdued. That is the meaning. Such a distinguished Vajrasattva is explained in this way.
