The samadhi of the subtle body mandala, because the mandala is extremely profound. It is said to be supreme because it has become the nature of Nirvana. Or, the essence refers to body, speech, and mind, because it is the nature of the three realms. Becoming the nature of body, speech, and mind is the ultimate essence, which is the nature of Vajrasattva, the great bliss, the non-conceptual wisdom, the Dharmadhatu. What is that like? "Whatever abides in the lord of all," meaning it pervades the nature of essence and container. "The great secret of all Buddhas, I shall tell to you, goddess," that has already been said. The subtle samadhi shows the Bodhicitta and so on, of which the Bodhicitta has already been said. That itself is the self, because it is not stained by the faults of grasping and being grasped. As it is said in the Mind-Only school: "It is not perceived by the wisdom of others, nor does it perceive others, because it is free from grasping and being grasped, only self-manifestation occurs." Therefore, it is said to be self-luminous, like the sky, because the defilements of afflictions are sudden. As it is said in the Ornament of the Middle Way: "Like the water element, gold, and space, it is considered pure as if it were pure." Showing the color of the subtle samadhi: "Light like the moon's crystal," meaning it is white like the color of crystal. Showing the substance of the subtle samadhi: "That itself is the substance of the five wisdoms," of which "that itself" means that it will not change in other kalpas. Or, "that itself" means that it possesses the nature of the five families. As it is said in the Secret Assembly Tantra: "That itself is said to be the five families." The five wisdoms are the mirror-like wisdom, the wisdom of equality, the wisdom of discernment, the wisdom of accomplishment, and the wisdom of the pure Dharmadhatu. Among them, the mirror-like wisdom is the Tathagatagarbha, the nature of the ten powers, the Vajra-like nature of Bodhicitta, which transforms the Alaya consciousness and removes the obscurations of knowledge.
