O! Because it is the nature of all Tathagatas, it is peaceful, without grasping, etc., that is the Body Vajra. Then, who is that Tathagata? It is the abode of all, becoming the master of all, that is the Mind Vajra. All directions are without self, that is utterly pure, that is the Speech Vajra. Such a sacred mandala, please explain, is the general request. Similarly, especially, all the characteristics of being square, etc., are completely perfect, and all the characteristics of not being square, etc., are abandoned, who is that? Named Samantabhadra, is the Great Vajradhara. Please explain the supreme of his Body Mandala. The peaceful Dharma is selflessness. That is the most supreme, and what truly arises from that is the Speech Mandala. That itself is the realm of wisdom of all the Tathagatas, therefore it is called a yogi. All sentient beings, that is, Buddhas and sentient beings. His great mind is the nature of the Mind Vajra. That itself is pure in nature, therefore it is said to be without defilement. After requesting three times in that way, one rises and dispels obstacles with the union of body, speech, and mind, saying Yamari, etc. Yamari Wrathful One, is that itself, because immediately it is the nature of Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), therefore one looks with that. What does one look at? It is the realm of beings mixed with oneself. All existences are mixed and abide in the nature of Manjushri Vajra, but are suddenly obscured by afflictions. Therefore, from that, one becomes wrathful in the form of an obstacle slayer. Place Hum in the eyes, show the Vajra. That is, contemplate the right eye as the sun arising from the Ma syllable, and the left eye as the moon mandala arising from the Ta syllable. Above that, contemplate the pupils as a burning five-pronged Vajra arising from the Hum syllable. Transform the Mandala of Liberation. That is, from the Vajra, transform all the space realm to be pervaded by the Mandala of the Wrathful One. The intelligent one, that is, the union. Like all beings, that is, understand by the above order. Mandala ground stamping and rotating. That is, practice each way in the order of extending the right. Contemplate a burning Vajra in the soles of the feet. That is, the feet

Meditate on the various vajras burning in a double layer. Holding the vajra in hand is merely an approximate representation; in reality, it includes a bell. Making the sound "Hum" means uttering the sound of "Hum." "Looking," etc., refers to the demons dwelling on the ground, and so on. One also speaks these words. "Listen," and so on. "The abode of body, speech, and mind" refers to extending the right hand, etc., destroying demons is the action of the body. Uttering a sound like a dragon at the end of an eon is the action of speech. Contemplating all things as profound is the action of mind. Thus abiding, Manjushri, I make a protective wheel. Generating the body of the three realms of desire is because only the desire realm has realms. In such a sequence, one should circumambulate the ground completely. Then, to eliminate obstacles, one should drive a stake into it. How should it be driven? Like "Upper enemy," and so on. That is, anoint stakes made of sandalwood, etc., with red fragrance, tie red thread to them, hang garlands of flowers on them, the upper part being the enemy of demons, like swirling nectar, the lower part being clear wood, visualized as triangular, and drive it into the center of the mandala. From it, light rays emanate, agitating and burning, destroying all the demons dwelling in the ten directions. Alternatively, "Binding the directions with boundaries, walls, and nets" refers to contemplating the union of the protective wheel, like a newly formed net and the earth, contemplating the wheel, protecting the earth. The preparation is to place the seed mudra on the ground of the mandala and recite "Om Takki Hum Dza." By reciting thus, the earth goddess, with a golden color like gold, holding a golden vase in her hand, adorned with all ornaments, united with Vairochana, visualize the earth goddess appearing with half her body, offer flowers, etc., and supplicate thus: "Protector, all Buddhas," etc., recite three times. Then, the earth goddess rejoices, assents, and dissolves into it. This is the ritual for purifying the ground. It is said that the deity abides in the place of preparation. "Fragrant scent," and so on. Anointing with fragrant scent, etc., refers to anointing the earth with sandalwood, saffron, etc.
