Just as a merchant's ship at sea is wrecked, tormented by the three sufferings, etc. 'Generating compassion' means generating compassion for them. Like a great captain repairing a ship, the yogi will engage in accomplishing the siddhi of mantra. Therefore, the great lama has said: 'In order to liberate those beings who are attached to what is inverted, the practitioner with the intention of generating true compassion should make all dharmas manifest as emptiness.' Similar statements are also found in other scriptures. Bodhi, truly, means true because of being pure by nature, it is the ultimate truth. That itself is called inconceivable, because it is immeasurable by the Śrāvakas, etc., and is of a pervasive nature. The sequence after meditating on it is that the Śūnyatā (Tibetan: ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता, Sanskrit Romanization: Śūnyatā, Chinese literal meaning: emptiness) mantra should be recited, and it should be visualized as the ground arising from the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable, and then visualizing the white autumn moon, etc., this is the practice of the mantra practitioner. Its meaning is as follows: Having generated great compassion in this way, entering into the characteristics of bodhicitta, one should meditate on the three doors of liberation, what are they? It starts from 'because of the absence of inherent existence,' etc. Whatever is proclaimed as the nature of the characteristics of any dharma, because that is extremely unreasonable, it is separate from it. Or, because of being separate from the grasper and the grasped, one and many, etc., which are conceived by children, because of being separate from all things, therefore all things are emptiness. If there is no cause, it means that because the Īśvara, etc., conceived by the Tirthikas, etc., do not exist, all dharmas are without characteristics. It is not the negation of the cause that appears merely in name. Absence of characteristics means absence of things, because the characteristic itself is a thing. What is called subsequent thought means subsequent observation, that is, the happiness, etc., of beings such as gods and humans, etc., is without subsequent thought because it is separate from analytical observation. Therefore, it is said to be separate from wishes, meaning that wishing for happiness, form, enjoyment, etc., of this and that, etc., in the nature of desire, is preceded by subsequent thought. Here, all dharmas appear only as one's own wisdom, and there is no enjoyment apart from that.

Because there are no separate distinctions such as being able to speak, there is no desire. Thus, the three aspects that are shown are merely distinctions in speech, and it should be understood that in ultimate reality, they are contained within emptiness alone. Because the nature of all things such as the grasped and the grasper, which are devoid of all entities, is emptiness. It is liberated from appearances such as form. Like this, the great lama here speaks with reasoning that is separate from one and many. The teacher Dharmakirti says in the pramana: By what are things understood? Ultimately, it does not exist. Because the nature of one and many does not exist. Therefore, everything is emptiness. Thus it is said. Therefore, now, because the causes and conditions are not available, it is not born in the beginning, so there is no characteristic. In the noble Sutra Showing the Cause, it says: It is appearance and non-appearance. A condition from a thing is not reasonable. What cause does non-appearance have? What cause does appearance need? Thus it is said. Teacher Dharmakirti said: Even if what is born is completely dependent on others, For its own causes and so on, Examining the connection, The single mind is not apparent. Because it depends on other connections. How does it depend on others, because it does not exist. It completely depends on all appearances. If a thing depends on something, That itself is without desire. Thus it is said. Non-existence, there is no combination of the nature of cause and effect. Therefore, desire is not reasonable, because non-appearance is like a rabbit's horn, so the cause is not appropriate for it. If it appears, then it does not need it. It is not appropriate for the cause to appear in emptiness. Therefore, all dharmas are like illusions, without beginning or end, pleasing without examination. All things are emptiness, this will not exist. Too much elaboration is abandoned. Thus, focusing on the suchness of all dharmas, In order to stabilize the mind of enlightenment, It is said that the mantra is blessed, Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) refers to the inconceivable deity's body. Śūnyatā (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: emptiness) is emptiness. Jñāna (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: wisdom) is wisdom. That itself is Vajra (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: That is Vajra), because it is inseparable. That Svabhāva (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: That's Self-nature) that is self-nature, That Ātmako and Haṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: That Self and Hum) means "I am self-nature".
