The path's limbs arising from the power of the path are eight. What are they? They are: right view, right thought, right speech, right action's end, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samadhi. Meditate on the moon marked with BHRUM (藏文,梵文天城体:भ्रूं,梵文罗马拟音:bhrūṃ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable) at the center of that completely pure white eight-spoked wheel of self-nature. "With vidya," which means possessing self-appearing vidya, through the union of its rays radiating and gathering. "Vairochana" means contemplating the sequence arising from below, thereby generating his form. As it is said, in the center of the various lotuses and crossed vajras explained in the Dharma-arising, one should contemplate the layered palace arising from the body of Vairochana. That is the only difference spoken of. "Thubwang Clear" means that the lords of the able ones are called that because of their clear rays. That very mandala is the rays of those various things, which are the various rays. Thus, the palace's directions are pervaded by the rays radiating in all directions. In the root tantra it is also said: "Equal to the burning light of the Buddha, the five rays pervade everywhere." Unequal because it is not. This means that the Tathagatas and individual beings are equal in suchness, therefore it is square. The four supreme ones are: through the doors of mindfulness, power, and strength. "Supreme" means extremely adorned and without afflictions. Which are the four doors of adornment and weakness? That is, from mindfulness's close placement to between power and strength. This meaning should be examined, because all the roots of virtue mentioned here are not exhausted by meditating on impurity and so on, but the virtuous aspects are perfected by the power of mantra, which should be known by the noble yogis. If it is not so, it will become a wrong view. Why? Because all of these are not shown from it. That mindfulness is: body, feeling, mind, and dharma, focusing on the same object, protecting it by merely gathering various limbs, this body is the grasped.

Because of keeping the mind's mindfulness close, separated from distractions such as "ba," therefore, the mindfulness of body, feeling, mind, and phenomena are called the four close placements of mindfulness, which are the eastern gate. Therefore, it is said: Body and feeling, mind and phenomena, are not many but combined, etc., to remember this, to have faith in this, for the sake of enlightenment, it is regarded as the eastern gate. Thus it is said. In order not to arise the unarisen unwholesome, and to stop the arisen unwholesome, in order to generate the unarisen wholesome, and to increase the arisen wholesome, to gradually initiate, completely purify, individually observe, and diligently practice, called the four complete purities of diligence, which are the second southern gate. Therefore, it is said: Future, present, inverted actions, not arising and causing to cease, the arisen to be maintained, the four diligences are the southern gate. Thus it is said. The samadhi of aspiration, diligence, mind, and contemplation, the magical power combined with the aspect of abandonment, that is, walking in the sky, called the foot, all causes completely purified, is the third western gate. Therefore, it is said: Aspiration, zeal, abiding, wisdom, magical foot and mindfulness, are the western gate, so it is considered. After that, the decisive limbs are connected with the heat and peak positions, faith, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, similarly, endurance and the supreme worldly dharma are connected, the five powers are completely purified, which are the fourth northern gate. Therefore, it is said: Faith and diligence, mindfulness and, samadhi wisdom, power and strength, immeasurable samadhi is, the fourth northern gate itself. The chariot of the four dhyanas refers to investigation, analysis, joy, happiness, one-pointedness of mind, that is, the first dhyana with five limbs, and the first of great joy through wisdom based on this, the first completely pure chariot of the second, and its pearls and flower garlands, etc. The inner nature is extremely pure, and joy, clarity, one-pointedness of mind, that is, the second dhyana with four limbs, and the second completely pure chariot of the third and fourth grounds based on this, and its pearl garlands, etc.
