Entering. Happiness means extremely vast. Because others cannot understand it, it is the great secret. When it is understood as it is, it appears as the path, and is called "accomplishing Buddhahood and Bodhi." When it manifests as enlightenment, it is called "the essence of the Buddha." Although entering into endless samsara, because it does not change, it is inexhaustible, imperishable, and constant. Because there is no beginning of birth, there is no end of destruction, therefore it is the supreme without beginning or end. It negates existence with profundity, and negates non-existence with clarity, so it is said, "Neither existent nor non-existent." Because it is clear and stable, it is said to be with senses, and so on. That is, it is seen through the path of union. The so-called "seen through the path of union" means that the union of the mudra itself is the path, and through it, one realizes the non-deceptive suchness. According to that order, one obtains the reality, that is the meaning. Why is it seen? Because of "external union," etc., all dharmas gather in the mind, and also merge into it, and are known through experience. That is, external union, the movement and abiding of all dharmas such as form, all abide in the mind-wisdom, therefore it alone pervades everything. What is it that pervades everything alone? It is all mind-only. Why? Because all sentient beings are only aggregates of consciousness. Because foolish people do not understand, they wander in samsara. Therefore, mind and mental factors, as well as wisdom and objects of knowledge, are all consciousness only. When the cause of the body becomes the seed of transformation, and the nature of all dharmas transforms into one dharma and is gathered together, all things also merge into it. How do they merge? Because of "why," etc. Just as all rivers merge into the ocean and become salty, with the same taste, similarly, all aspects of dharmas, through the order of asceticism, etc., enter into non-dual wisdom, and at the time of liberation, in the nature of non-things, become one, and do not appear as many. How is that known? From "the union within," etc. The suchness of all such things, for the external
