O. Two kinds of dependent arising are spoken of: ripening within one's own continuum. This means that from cutting off the habitual tendencies of the ground of samsara, it is the cause of ripening one's own continuum through the union of cause and effect, and therefore it is not like the fruit of a flower, i.e., the pistil. Similarly, the union that ripens the continuum of others is like a flower, since it ripens the external continuum of others and the common and special actions through the union of the wheel of the mandala ritual, starting from the ritual that is extremely profound in all aspects of wisdom and knowledge. It is not like the pistil, i.e., it is not like not producing fruit. Therefore, the ripening of one's own continuum and the complete ripening of the continuum of others are the fruit, and all of these are completely accomplished by the compassion of the previous one, so it should be known that only compassion becomes the root. In order to show that without this, it will turn into the opposite of this, "If the root of compassion is absent," and so on. If the root of compassion, like a tree trunk, is absent, one cannot endure various difficulties, and therefore one cannot increase the merit of happiness. Therefore, one cannot accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. Therefore, because one is separated from the joy of thought, one will not plant the aspiration of wisdom. Therefore, one does not accept virtuous Dharma, and therefore one does not lead beings into the Dharma, and when sentient beings are separated from complete ripening, it is the opposite. Therefore, because there is no compassion, it increases into those faults, so by compassion, the foundation is well grasped, from compassion arises patience, from patience arises the joy of thought, from the joy of thought arises planting aspirations, from planting aspirations arises the complete ripening of rebirth, therefore it is symbolized by the examples of the root and so on. Therefore, the supreme fruit that arises later is also only the first compassion, so it should be known that this is acting for the benefit of sentient beings. Liberation from suffering and the generation of happiness, which becomes very extensive, from that the nature of patience, like a tree trunk, increases, from that the branches increase, just like that, one wants to obtain the great meaning of meditation. Equanimity pervades all, which means that by meditating on the inseparability of profundity and clarity, one abandons the eight worldly dharmas. The pure conduct of the Great Brahma means that those four are the teacher, the Buddha, the Bhagavan.

It is said that the conduct is sacred. Now, abiding in the order of generation in this way, in order to explain the meditation on the suchness of the second order, it says, "Abiding in those," and so on. "Abiding in those" means abiding in the first order. What does it meditate on? One should meditate on the essence that has become the object of all Buddhas, that is, the suchness of the end of all things that abide in the nature of all. How does one meditate on that? From the forehead to the soles of the feet, and so on. The Sugatas emanating from the tip of the rays of light arising from the seed syllables cause all sentient beings to become Buddhas, merge into the nature of wisdom, and enter the seed syllable in the center of the mark, so contemplate that Bodhicitta, pure and luminous, is a drop, about the size of a mustard seed, with five rays of light, and make the inside of that ray of light and so on clear. From the Bodhicitta residing on my forehead to the one residing on the soles of my feet, contemplate the mind residing in the form of sixteen sound syllables, draw it in, and gather it into a drop. As soon as the mind is placed there, it moves in its center, that is, meditate on the true union of the deities and the abodes, such as the palace, which are not as clear as the upper mandala. Meditate on the indestructible drop in the heart of its main deity, residing on the marked vase, about the size of a mustard seed, blazing with five lights, with a dripping posture, always residing in the heart, held by great wisdom, and in an instant the yogi will undoubtedly ignite the non-dual wisdom. How to look? It will surely arise from the upper nose, and so on. The light of that drop arises from the upper nose, enters the mouths of the Tathagatas residing in the ten directions of the world, goes to the indestructible drop in the heart, obtains nectar, arises from the Vajra path, gathers like a stream of milk from the sky, and strongly enters the left and right with the distinction of means and wisdom, and abides on the manifestation drop of the upper clear wisdom drop. Because of holding the non-dual wisdom, one will touch it. This is the Vajra mind of cessation.
