Now, regarding other atoms, if observation can recognize them, then it is unreasonable in terms of grasping, etc., being coarse. Thus it is said. If one does not exist, many will not exist, therefore, the subtle atoms simply do not exist. This refutes in a common way, because it eliminates all those who assert atoms, so there was no particular respect shown to the meditators who were refuted individually. Up to this point, it has been shown that external objects do not exist because there is no valid means of establishment and there is a valid means of refutation. Now, in order to summarize that all beings are only consciousness, therefore, "therefore" is said. Therefore, by the power of the reasoning just stated, because it is free from grasping, etc., in order to realize the self-nature of forms, etc., all things that are inherently moving and non-moving, because they are separate from external objects, arise only from their own habitual tendencies, like a city of Gandharvas. Although it is only consciousness, it cannot tolerate the nature of one and many as before, so it should not be referred to as existing like a lotus in the sky. Because for an existing thing, there is no other form, therefore, if it must become one from one and many, it is not so. Therefore, it is not known how this can become an object of the term "existing." If one thinks that it is impossible for consciousness not to possess one and many, that is not true, because for things with consciousness, just like external objects, the nature of one and many is eliminated. Whatever the world calls an external object, that is the consciousness that speaks with aspects. Therefore, whatever harms the external object also harms the internal object. In this way, the harm eliminates the coarse one or what is not a subtle atom. If this aspect that has become the nature of consciousness is a coarse one, or if it is many different subtle atoms, in either case, it cannot avoid the refutation that arises for external objects. Because what does not exist, it will not exist because of what

Therefore, it is not valid to refute based on the reason that consciousness is external. To harm with the reason of having a body, that is, not having a body, which is possessed by the nature of consciousness, this statement is also meaningless. If consciousness itself is blue, etc., then consciousness is also having a body. This aspect of possessing pervasiveness of objects is having a body, and only this possesses it. The undeniable manifestation of happiness, etc., is also not so, as when a tired body is immersed in water, one experiences the arising of pervasive happiness. Being like that, it is also not non-pervasive of objects, because the body should also be like that. If it pervades objects, then like the body, therefore it is having a body. Therefore, in other ways, the aspect of consciousness being without aspects also does not go beyond the category of refuting external objects, so the teacher did not specifically engage in refutation, it should be understood like this. Therefore, consciousness should also not be called existence, this statement is established. If consciousness and knowable things do not exist, then should it become only the nature of non-existence? No, consciousness exists conventionally, because convention is undeniable. If non-existence strongly arises because of the cessation of existence? No, non-existence is preceded by existence, so if that is not established, then this is also not established. As it is said: Non-existence is drawn out by the companion of existence, existence is drawn out by the companion of non-existence. Therefore, if one does not speak of non-existence, then existence is also not constant. Thus it is proclaimed. It is also not the nature of both existence and non-existence, because existence and non-existence are contradictory. It is also not a nature that is different from both existence and non-existence, because on any basis, being an external difference is unreasonable. If so, then should it become that there is no true existence at all? Is this not the true existence? That is, it is called being separated from true existence. Therefore, it is determined from the four extremes.
