Confession and the like exhaust the karma of the five inexpiable sins. If extremely bad deeds are done, they can be lessened by cursing. If one confesses properly and keeps the precepts, I say that these sins can be eradicated from the root. Thus it is said. Being free from all faults, increasing merit is achieved by rejoicing in merit and the like. For example, if seeds are sown in a well-prepared field, they will grow; if saffron and other dyes are applied to well-washed clothes, they will appear very bright. Similarly, if merit is accumulated without sin, it will be accomplished without any obstacles. Therefore, the confession of sins is first spoken of, beginning with "beginningless" and so on. The river of existence without beginning or end, in the continuity of samsara, the faults of all pervasive thoughts that appear as self and mine, etc., that is, all the sins that have been accumulated and committed, are confessed before the Buddhas who have great compassion. The so-called "properly" means that out of fear of the lower realms, one bows one's head to the feet of the lama and those worthy of offerings, etc., and holds flowers in the palms of one's hands. Others explain that the meaning of the word "properly" is that offerings and the like are the precursors, which is unreasonable, because it is clearly stated that "the precursors are the various clouds of offerings, etc." This is the view of others. From the meanings included in the word "etc.," the rejoicing in merit is temporarily declared, beginning with "perfectly complete Buddha" and so on. Perfectly complete Buddha is Vairochana and other Tathagatas. Bodhisattva is Kshitigarbha and so on. The Holy One is the Holy Blood Drinker and so on. These are because the words Buddha and Bodhisattva are not used in the tantra, but the word Holy One is used. As it is said, "Hero Holy Blood Drinker." Others are Heruka and so on from other tantras, which have been named in all three cases. Here

The distinctions and entities such as vastness are not, because those are the nature of Vajradhara. The Blessed One also said that the Blessed One himself is dwelling in the eastern moon mandala. It is only nominally different, because all terms are established upon that. Others are, the complete Buddha is the one who has attained true and complete enlightenment. The Bodhisattva is the one who has entered the grounds such as the Joyful One, seeking true and complete enlightenment. The noble ones are the stream-enterers and so on, they are the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Others are those who have great faith in the Buddha, they are those who perform virtuous deeds, and whatever roots of virtue those people have done is the path. What is called true dedication is from after rejoicing in the supreme faith. What is called its remainder is the virtue generated from rejoicing, meaning equal to or possessing rejoicing. By truly rejoicing in the roots of virtue that are complete with superior intention, merit will increase, because for good and evil, the mind is the main thing. Therefore, dedicate the virtues that possess rejoicing to true and complete enlightenment, meaning to make it the cause of complete enlightenment. By taking refuge in the Three Jewels, the accumulated collections of merit will not be able to be taken away by all others, therefore, first the refuge in the Buddha was proclaimed, which is called "beauty of mind" and so on. What is expressed by "beauty of mind" is the precious mind that is free from all faults. It eliminates the darkness of ignorance of beings, and is like the moon, therefore it is the stainless moon, meaning the wisdom of the extremely pure nature. Being truly connected with it and diligently practiced, having blocked the imputation, making the ultimate nature appear, completely accomplished, is infinite, that is, the supreme love that pervades all sentient beings and has no object. That itself is the cause of the benefit of oneself and others, therefore it is skillful means.

Indeed, those Tathagatas who abide in that state are called thus. It means having the nature of skillful means and wisdom. It is connected with "I take refuge in them." Again, to specifically explain it, what is said is "abiding in one's own mind." Because it has the same taste in emptiness, it is the nature that is inseparable from one's own mind, that is the meaning. "Constantly" means that time has no limit, until forever. What is said to take refuge in the Dharma is "from all discriminations" and so on. It is connected with "I take refuge in the Dharma that is definitely completely liberated and abandoned from all discriminations that have the characteristics of grasping and being grasped, etc." If it is what kind of Dharma? The answer is, "sentient beings" and so on are proclaimed. Excellent sentient beings are the Bodhisattvas. Becoming the ultimate enlightenment that is the complete accumulation of their resources, it is the basis of all of them. Because Bodhisattvas obtain all perfections by meditating on the suchness of the Dharma as it is. It is called "the nature of all things having the same taste," because in general, there is no difference only in realization, so it is the nature of the equality of all things. What is said to take refuge in the Sangha is "bondage" and so on. Whoever realizes the true meaning, abandons the bonds of attachment, anger, and ignorance, etc., accomplishes with supreme compassion, has the entrusted wealth, the benefit of oneself and others is complete, and who is the most joyful, etc. Abiding in the most joyful, etc., is in the nine grounds that are the ultimate of excellent wisdom. Because the tenth ground of the Bodhisattva is only a Buddha, but not a fully enlightened Buddha. It is called "the assembly of the diligent and powerful," the diligent refers to the Shravakas, etc. Their power is the Bodhisattvas, it is connected with "I take refuge in their assembly." Again, although the Buddhas, etc., are not different in nature, but here, taking refuge in the Buddhas, etc., separately, this is only according to the thoughts of sentient beings. That
