It is like considering the ability to be the smallest particle. In order to refute the smallest particle examined by the Vaibhashikas, it is said, "smallest particles, etc." Just as a gross object does not exist, so too do many not exist. The reason stated is, "because the smallest particles are invisible." The nature of the smallest particles being mutually different is because they are invisible. If it is said that a gross object cannot be other, so one should follow the smallest particle, then the statement is, "If the smallest particle is indivisible," etc. The thought is this: for the time being, one should not consider the smallest particles to have parts, because at the same time they correspond to contradictory objects, that is, the ten places and the six combinations, etc., correspond to contradictory dharmas, so just like a gross object, they would become many. If the smallest particle is indivisible, that is, if the nature of the limbs is without parts, then many smallest particles would surround, that is, they would not be contained within the many. If it is thus surrounded by the smallest particles, then that which is located in the center of the smallest particles above, below, and in the four directions will inevitably become six parts. The nature of this, whichever is close to other smallest particles, cannot be closer to others than that smallest particle, because they would become one place. If it is also there, then the nature of being close to the eastern smallest particle will also be close to the western smallest particle. If there is no closeness, then merely the appearance of viewing is also this closeness. Therefore, the nature of the mass would become merely the smallest particle. Like the earth circle, etc., by nature, no accumulation would exist here. As it is said: "Adhesion and surrounding, or even dwelling without interval, the smallest particle located in the center, for one smallest particle, whatever is the nature of viewing, if for other smallest particles it is also recognized as viewing, then from grasping, etc., a gross object is unreasonable." Thus it is said. If one is not established, then many will not be established, so the smallest particles simply do not exist. This, with a common refutation, refutes those who speak of the smallest particles.

In order to eliminate everything, the meditator who refutes separately did not respectfully treat the rope. Up to this point, it has been shown that external objects do not exist because there is no valid means of establishment and there is a valid means of refutation. Now, in order to summarize and conclude that all beings are only consciousness, therefore, the word "therefore" was spoken. Due to the power of the reasoning just stated, because it is free from grasping, etc., in order to realize the form, etc., of one's own continuum, all phenomena that are inherently moving and non-moving, because they are separate from external objects, arise only from one's own habitual tendencies, just like the illusion of a mirage city. Although it is only consciousness, it cannot tolerate the nature of one and many as before, so it should not be considered an existing designation like a lotus in the sky. Because for existing phenomena, there is no other aspect, therefore if it must become any one of one and many, it is not like that. Therefore, it is not known how this can become the object of an existing designation. If it is thought that it is impossible for consciousness to not possess one and many, that is not true. Because for phenomena that possess consciousness, just like external objects, the nature of being separate from one and many is eliminated. Whatever is called an external object by the world is the consciousness that speaks of possessing aspects. Therefore, whatever harm is caused to the existence of external objects is also the harm caused to internal things. In this way, this harm can eliminate the coarse one or the atom. This aspect that has become the nature of consciousness, if it is a coarse one, or if it is many different atoms, in either case, it is impossible to avoid the refutation that arises for external objects. What does not exist because of its absence is not refuted because it is something other than consciousness. To harm by the reason of having a body, for the non-bodied, that is, the nature of consciousness, does not exist, this statement is also meaningless, because the appearance of blue, etc., is itself consciousness.
