Different. It is not admitted that external objects are meaningless, Confusion arises in all objects, Object and different time are self-nature. Thus it is said. Therefore, like the example of dreams, how can it be said that the consciousness arising in the state of wakefulness is definitely an object, etc.? It is not so, because it is unreasonable to grasp the consciousness of dreams, etc. Thus, it is either the nature of grasping or the nature of remembering. Among them, it is not grasping for the time being, because grasping does not depend on previous grasping. Grasping the previously seen object does not make it possible to determine individually, like other views. This should also not be the nature of memory, because there is no distinction, and it is the object of sight, and because it appears clearly. Therefore, it is not known how the object of things seen in other realms is. However, even if that is the reason, the determination of objects, etc., cannot be done by that reason. If the object, etc., is close to the external object, and it also appears in the dream, then will that become the reason for it? If so, it is impossible, because it will become non-deceptive. If it appears only in a few who are separated from it, then this should not be a reason. If it makes it appear separate from its own nature, then because there is no difference, it will become anything. There is no common meaning, but there is no definite cause for arising, such as when the same is grasped in a dream of sleep, or like the appearance of hair, etc., to many confused consciousnesses. Likewise, even if there is no meaning of external objects, it can function, it is only grasped in a dream. As in the state of wakefulness, the happiness, etc., with the reason of a woman, and the things related to it, such as the arising of seeds, are actually experienced, so it is in the state of dream. Therefore, as in dreams, etc., there is no meaning of external objects, and objects, etc., become definite, so it is in the state of wakefulness, what overwhelms it? As it is said: The habits within someone, are exhausted by someone himself, therefore the mind with various determinations, does not depend on the meaning of external objects.

So it is said. Then, regarding the point that awareness has no external cause, if it is said that forms and pleasures, etc., have a sequential order, and therefore the fault of not being able to realize them simultaneously arises, how can this be established? I do not know. If, even when realizing simultaneously, it is only the grasping of pleasure, etc., that arises after determining to grasp forms, etc., and for all things that realize the meaning of forms, etc., due to their non-commonality, they are merely grasped, because from the collection of prior and prior causes, the moments of object and consciousness will definitely arise as the grasped and the grasper, then how can the grasped and the grasper be confused? To this, there is no essence at all, because since there is no conceptual thought, for self-awareness direct perception, like the appearance of blue, etc., the grasped and the grasper themselves or the commonality of blue do not appear. The blue seen by another cognizer is not what is cognized by direct perception, because what is cognized by another would also become direct perception. What is cognized by inference arising from signs such as bristling hair is also not, because its object is the general characteristic. Therefore, the simultaneous realization of non-common forms, etc., is only consciousness, because the object is suitable, so what is not known by the place is one's own consciousness. If there is doubt that external objects are not momentary, but have the same nature of having parts, etc., then what is said is white, etc. White, etc., that is, seeing white color, etc., which is what is cognized by direct perception, it does not see others before or after. The meaning is that what is seen is emptiness. The reason is explained: what has already been seen, what is being seen or will be seen, these are always mutually contradictory, just like pleasure, etc. Eye consciousness, etc., only grasps what is near and present, if it were not so, then what is far away and has intervals, etc., and the past, future, children, and old people, etc., would also be grasped simultaneously, which is unavoidable.
