Pao. Why is this done? It is for the purpose of increasing the virtue of what is said, for the sake of increasing merit. In this way, confessing sins and so on can exhaust the karma of the five inexpiable sins. Having committed extremely terrible sins, condemning Sugal can make them lighter. By thoroughly confessing and taking vows, I have said that they can be eradicated from the root. It is said. Being free from all faults from that is because rejoicing in merit and so on will increase merit. For example, if seeds are planted in a well-prepared field, they will grow; if saffron and other dyes are applied to well-washed clothes, they will appear very bright. Similarly, if merit is accumulated without sin, it will be accomplished without any obstacles. Therefore, the first thing that was said was the confession of sins, starting with "beginningless" and so on. The beginningless and endless stream of existence, that is, in the continuation of samsara, all the faults of all the various thoughts that appear as self and mine, that is, all the sins that have been accumulated and created, are confessed in front of the Buddhas who have great compassion. "Properly" means that because of fear of falling into the lower realms, one prostrates with one's head at the feet of the gurus and those worthy of offerings, and holds flowers in one's palms. Others say that the meaning of the word "properly" is that offerings and so on precede it, but this is not reasonable, because it is explicitly stated that "with various clouds of offerings and so on preceding." Among the meanings included in the word "etc.," for the time being, the rejoicing in merit is declared, starting with "perfectly complete Buddha" and so on. Perfectly complete Buddha refers to the Tathagatas such as Vairochana. Bodhisattva refers to Kshitigarbha and so on. Arya refers to Arya Amrita Kundalin and so on. These are because in the tantras, they are not indicated by the words Buddha and Bodhisattva, but by the word Arya, as it is said, "Hero Arya Amrita Kundalin."

It is so. Others, such as Heruka of other tantras, are named in all three forms. Here, there are no distinctions or entities such as Buddhas, because they are the nature of Vajradhara. The Bhagavan also said that the Bhagavan himself is dwelling in the eastern moon, and so on. It is only different in name, because all names are established on it. Others are, the perfect Buddha is the one who has attained perfect and complete enlightenment. The Bodhisattva is the one who has entered the grounds such as the Extremely Joyful, and strives for perfect and complete enlightenment. The noble ones are those who have entered the stream, such as the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Others are those who have great faith in the Buddha, and perform virtuous deeds; whatever virtuous roots they have done are the path. As for the so-called true dedication, it is after rejoicing in the supreme faith. The so-called remainder of that is the virtue arising from rejoicing, meaning equal to or possessing rejoicing. By truly rejoicing in the virtuous roots of perfect excellent intention, merit will increase, because the mind is the main thing for virtue and evil. Therefore, the virtues with rejoicing are truly dedicated to perfect enlightenment, meaning to make it the cause of perfect enlightenment. By taking refuge in the Three Jewels, the accumulated collection of merit cannot be taken away by all others, therefore, the first refuge in the Buddha is spoken of, such as the beauty of the mind. From the beauty of the mind, it expresses the precious mind that is free from all faults. It itself eliminates the darkness of ignorance of beings, and is like the moon, therefore it is the stainless moon, meaning the wisdom of the extremely pure nature. Being truly connected with it and well adorned, it has prevented superimposition, and the ultimate nature has appeared and been completely accomplished, it is infinite.

It is that supreme love that pervades all sentient beings and is without objectification. That itself is the cause of one's own and others' benefit, therefore it is skillful means. Those who possess it are called Sugatas. It means the nature of skillful means and wisdom. It is connected with them by taking refuge. Moreover, to specifically indicate it, it is said, "Abiding in one's own mind." Because it is of one taste in emptiness, it means the nature that is inseparable from one's own mind. "Always" means without limit of time, as long as it lasts. What is said to take refuge in the Dharma begins with "from all conceptualizations." It is connected with the Dharma that is definitely liberated and abandoned from all conceptualizations that have the characteristics of grasping and being grasped, etc., by taking refuge. If asked what kind of Dharma it is, then it is said, "Sentient beings," etc. The supreme sentient beings are the Bodhisattvas. It becomes the basis of all of them, the complete wealth of those who have reached ultimate enlightenment. Because Bodhisattvas cultivate this Dharma as it is, they attain all perfections. "The nature of all things being of one taste" means that in general, there is no difference in the degree of realization, so it is the nature of the equality of all things. What is said to take refuge in the Sangha begins with "bondage," etc. Whoever realizes the true meaning, abandons the bondage of attachment, anger, and ignorance, etc., accomplishes it with supreme compassion, possesses the entrusted wealth, is complete with the benefit of oneself and others, and who is the most joyful, etc., abides in the nine grounds that are the ultimate of excellent wisdom such as the most joyful. Because the tenth ground of the Bodhisattva is only the Buddha, and not the perfectly complete Buddha. "The assembly of those who are diligent in discipline" means that those who are diligent in discipline are the Shravakas, etc. The lords of those are the Bodhisattvas, and I take refuge in the assembly of those. Moreover, in reality, although the Buddhas, etc., are not different, but this
