Intermediate verses. For whomever, Nirvana and Samsara, have no addition or subtraction. For that, Nirvana and Samsara, how should one properly contemplate? Thus it is said. From examining Nirvana, what is the edge of Nirvana and the edge of Samsara? These, even if subtle, do not exist in the slightest. Thus it is said. The meaning is this: liberated from the four extremes, the very nature of awareness, possessing an inconceivable form, the pride of Manjushri Vajra, with its unparalleled characteristic, is the actual experience of the cause of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This means that approaching, as the first branch, like a deity similar to the cause, is a small description of the fruit corresponding to the cause. The second branch, exertion, starts from "after that" and so on, immediately after approaching. From the light of one's own seed syllables, the letters of the essence of earth, such as ཀྵིཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning), etc., in order, in the places of the eyes, etc., abiding in the center of their respective signs, etc. From those lights, together with the rays, those very ones that have become the cause, the six that are accomplished, such as the essence of earth, whatever they are, filling the eyes, etc. with those, one should meditate, in relation to others. The meaning of "oneself as it is" is that in the center of the eyes, on the moon, the white wheel of ཀྵིཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning) is completely transformed, from which arises the white essence of earth. From the ear canal, from the black vajra of ཛྲྀཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning) arises the blue Vajrapani. In the nostrils, from the green jewel of yellow ཁཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning) arises the yellow Akashagarbha. In the center of the tongue, from the red lotus of གཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning) arises the red Avalokiteshvara. On the forehead, from the green sword of ཀཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning) arises the green Nivarana-Vishkambhin. Above the navel, from the complete transformation of the white vajra of སཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning), one should contemplate Samantabhadra as per the ritual, that is the meaning. This means that the branch of near accomplishment is the small fruit of the ripening of omniscience, because the eyes, etc., become the form of deities of the nature of the essence of earth, etc., and because each has six senses, such as ears, etc., therefore, to sound.
