“Buddhas,” and so forth, meaning to speak of the Buddhas who appear in the past, future, and present, and who reside in the ten directions. “Focusing on” means to contemplate closely. “Clouds of various offerings” means the offerings that arise from the sound of the rays of light of the moon sword in the heart. Flowers, incense, scents, lamps, food offerings, torma, songs, dances, clothes, robes, and so on, all kinds of different excellent offerings, because they are so numerous, are like clouds, hence they are called clouds. The word “etc.” indicates praise that precedes offerings, as well as making aspirations, prayers, and self-dedication in order to take sentient beings into one's care. “By the wise” means with a steadfast mind, free from all distracting thoughts. In this way, one should confess sins and so on before the Buddhas in the manner described earlier and to be described later. “For the sake of increasing virtue” means for the sake of accumulating virtues. The word “etc.” indicates rejoicing in merit, taking refuge in the Three Jewels, generating the mind of enlightenment, and abiding on the path. The explanation of this brief instruction is said to be “whoever,” and so on, first is the confession of sins. Among them, “whoever” means that whatever accumulation of sinful defilements has been accumulated since beginningless time, one should confess and thoroughly proclaim it before the Buddhas who cherish with compassion. That is, in the beginningless river of existence in samsara, in the hells, hungry ghosts, animals, humans, and other beings where turbulent waves surge, the sins arising from the habitual tendencies of afflicted minds accumulated and gathered by all kinds of conceptualizations, whether done by oneself, instigated by others, or rejoiced in by others, all these should be confessed according to the ritual, that is, with the prerequisite of not repeating them, all of them. That is, all the naturally negative actions and co-emergent negative actions arising from body, speech, and mind, all these should be confessed. The declaration of rejoicing in merit is the fully enlightened Buddha.

The word "and" and so on means that for all roots of virtue, one should rejoice without distinction with an excellent thought; with a mind that fully cultivates compassion, one should fully dedicate to unsurpassed enlightenment; and one should correctly indicate the path that is characterized by benefiting others. How is it? The accumulation of good and non-good is purified and cleansed, therefore, merit is called good. Who did it? The complete Buddha, that is, the truly complete Buddha; and the bodhisattvas who reside on the ten bhumis, such as the noble Avalokiteshvara, and so on; and the noble ones, that is, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas; and "others" refers to even what is done by non-Buddhists and ordinary beings. Then, how should one rejoice in the merit done by non-Buddhists? The content collected from the chapter on rejoicing in the Sutra of Eight Thousand Verses of Perfect Wisdom spoken by the Bhagavan does not contradict pure appearance. Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is spoken of in three verses, such as "play of mind." The illusion created by the play of mind connected by the net of rays arising from the power of samadhi is the stainless moon. With that moon of mind, the immeasurable benefit of beings is accomplished and perfected. The Buddha Bhagavan, who possesses the necessary meaning accomplished by the means of great compassion, I take refuge in him. What does it show? Samantabhadra himself is the nature of the Dharmakaya, therefore, he is skilled in accomplishing the intentions of all sentient beings. "Dwelling in one's own mind" means that because each person's awareness is self-nature, it is realized in ultimate truth by the direct perception of yogis, and not external. "Definitely liberated from all thoughts," and so on, I take refuge in that Dharma. How is it? Definitely liberated from all thoughts, that is, free from all impurities of untrue thoughts. The noble bodhisattvas are the noble ones who possess the nature of Dharma. Their perfection is manifest.

, and it is the highest, it must have excellent characteristics. Its basis is the support. All things are of one taste and one essence. The so-called things are the self-nature of each manifestation, and the one taste and one essence of all things is emptiness. Because there is no other dharma other than the realm of dharma, emptiness is the characteristic of pervasiveness. In the phrase "from bondage" and so on, because it is the master of those who have ascetic practices, it is the master of ascetic practices. Ascetics are the Shravaka Arhats. Becoming their master is to become the root of great compassion, diligent in benefiting others, is the master, that is, the owner. Their collection is numerous, so I take refuge in them. How is it? Therefore, it is said "liberated from bondage" and so on. Who truly and without inversion bestows and obtains liberation from the bondage of the suffering of samsara, attachment and hatred, arrogance and ignorance, etc., the afflictions, and the characteristics of the bondage of the obscuration of knowledge. It is the best of compassion, the glory created and bestowed by the power of great compassion, is the subject of teaching the Dharma to all sentient beings, who has perfected the ten perfections, accumulated the accumulation of wisdom, and abides on the ten grounds such as the Extremely Joyful, I take refuge in the Sangha. It is not for the Shravakas. What is said to generate Bodhicitta is "thought" and so on, that is, "thought and maturity are pure." It means that one should truly generate the perfect Bodhicitta with the characteristic of benefiting others. Without beginning or end, peaceful, existent and non-existent, inexhaustible lord, emptiness and compassion inseparable, it is called Bodhicitta. That's how it is said. How is it? Adorned with special faith. "Adorned with special faith" means that with this special liberation, it is a special faith. That very desire of the mind is the decoration, what is adorned and decorated with that? How is it? Thought and maturity become pure, thought becomes
