Therefore, whatever appears as distinct forms of the grasped object is not singular. Why? Because differences such as beginning and end appear in that object, and differences in the capacity to perform functions are also seen. Therefore, whatever has directional parts cannot be a unity, according to the principle of 'it cannot be one.' Because it is devoid of a single nature, it is also not multiple. It is also unreasonable to examine those with parts that appear separately, such as white, with wisdom that analyzes to the extremely subtle, because the nature of the extremely subtle is ungraspable. It is not admitted that they are apprehended directly, and also these extremely subtle particles are without limbs and without parts, because they are without limbs and therefore without parts. The extremely subtle particles are separate from and uncombined with other extremely subtle particles. If they exist, then because they are located in six directions—front, back, two sides, and below, such as east—it would be reasonable for six extremely subtle particles to be combined, and that combination would become six parts. Because six are joined simultaneously, the extremely subtle particle becomes six parts. Because it is said so. Therefore, because the extremely subtle particle is not established, the inference that the earth mandala and so on are formed from the accumulation of extremely subtle particles, and that the seven continents and so on are accumulations of lands, is also unreasonable. Therefore, the self-nature of what is to be grasped does not exist. If that is so, then how do these beings appear? Therefore, it is said, 'Therefore, grasping,' and so on. Therefore, because it should not be the nature of one and many, because it is separate from the grasper and so on, there is no grasped and no grasper. Therefore, these beings are self-caused, not born from others such as Ishvara. Self-caused is not in all ways, because conventionally it arises from causes and conditions. If there is no cause, then it will definitely become permanent or nonexistent, and so on. Form and so on are the nature of feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness, which is the nature of illusion. As it is said: Like stars, cataracts, a lamp, an illusion, a dewdrop, a bubble, a dream, lightning, and clouds, conditioned things should be viewed in this way. They are like cities of gandharvas. This is in conventional truth.

It should be regarded as deceptive and devoid of essence. In conventional truth, everything exists; in ultimate truth, nothing exists. As it is said. If that is the case, how are samsara and nirvana established? Therefore, "I" and "mine" and so on are mentioned. "I" refers to the mind with afflictions, the nature of arrogance, like being without self, but conceiving "I" and "mine." "Mine" refers to children, wives, wealth, and so on. The continuation of these two is the continuous flow, and this flow is due to the connection of the habits of beneficial and harmful things. Because of this, one mistakenly thinks, "This is me, so I need these things," and thus arises improper attention. Samsara is established from what is seen, and purification is also the absence of that reversal. By merely the nature of one's own essence, abandoning the conceptualizations of "I" and "mine" is nirvana. As it is said: "Apart from conceptualization, There is no such thing as samsara. Therefore, by completely eliminating conceptualization, You are always in nirvana." As it is said. Therefore, liberation from the view of clinging to "I" and "mine," being free from things to be abandoned and things to be taken, becoming the antidote to samsara, is called nirvana. In that case, if there is no samsara, then there is no nirvana, so realizing that it is not real, therefore, "peaceful" and so on are mentioned. The Blessed One showed nirvana in order to generate weariness of samsara, but there is no difference between samsara and nirvana. "By nature" means in the nature of ultimate truth, not in conventional truth, otherwise it would become annihilation. As the venerable Nagarjuna said: "Nirvana is not non-existent." And similarly: "If nirvana were existent, Nirvana would become conditioned. What is unconditioned, How could anything exist?" As it is said. To explain the establishment of reason in this, "why grasping" and so on are mentioned. Why? Because in ultimate truth, samsara
