He (referring to the author or lineage master) taught as follows: According to the ritual described in the sadhana, with the power of the wrathful Vajra Yoga, emanate the King Harm-Ornament (Gnod mdzés rgyal po), and command him: Summon the hosts of obstructors, such as the pervading deities residing in the ten directions, arrange them properly according to their respective positions, and emanate the ten wrathful deities called Amrita, who are in the form of lower pegs, blazing with light and possessing excellent radiance. Have the King Harm-Ornament hold it with his left hand, and with commands such as "Om Gha Gha" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་གྷ་གྷ་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: om gha gha, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Gha Gha), strike it with the vajra hammer held in his right hand, from the head to the feet, pierce all the obstructors with the peg. Subduing beings, that is, taming the nature of sentient beings who are hosts of obstructors, is to pierce them with the peg. Whatever is transformed into inseparable peace by it is called speech. The sutra says, "The peaceful one is the form of the eye," and the great commentary says, "The mandala of peace," and so on. The mandala of peace is the water mandala with the characteristics already described, and it is the supreme one. As it says, "Visualize the form of Vairochana, and place the desire in your own heart," and so on, it teaches as follows: According to the ritual described earlier, in the Dharma-source of the Buddha-eye, residing in the center of the body mandala, on the moon seat on the lotus, residing in the water mandala as described earlier, visualize now yourself united with the consort as Vairochana, with a white body and face, possessing three faces, a peaceful demeanor, extremely compassionate, surrounded by the four white peaceful Tathagatas. In the heart of the Wisdom-being, on the moon on the lotus, place the deity to be practiced and the mantra garland of the Buddha-eye, the mantra garland facing upwards, white, dripping amrita, pervading the entire body of the deity to be practiced. Guide its consciousness, with the signs arising from the gate of the preceding light, and the Buddha-eyes that are in perfect accordance with reality, gazing to fill the entire expanse of space, with the iron hooks of light arising from the mantra, hook and summon it from its place, and arrange it in the vase and so on as before.
