The parts of the earth cannot become distinct, because it contradicts the absence of distinction. Likewise, the individual parts cannot each become one, therefore only partless atoms exist. Moreover, the atoms that are completely surrounded cannot be joined from one direction, because they are partless. Nor can they be joined from all directions, because the atoms would interpenetrate each other, and mountains, etc., would become the size of atoms. Therefore, these cloths, etc., are neither one nor many, and therefore, if these blue things, etc., are analyzed into atoms, then external objects do not exist, because they are separate from one and many. In this regard, Master Vasubandhu said, "When six are joined simultaneously, the subtle atom is divided into six parts. If the six are in the same place, the aggregate becomes like a tiny atom." Just as these criticisms are made against the acceptance of external blue, etc., they also apply to the blue, etc., of the nature of consciousness, because there is no difference in becoming atoms. The mere difference between things and consciousness does not change anything. If it is said that the atom of things is surrounded by six directions, while the atom of consciousness has four directions, then because they equally possess parts, that also does not change anything. Since there is no other third aggregate of things other than one and many, these blue things, etc., are not established as external objects and internal objects, and are false. Furthermore, these blue things, etc., are experienced simultaneously, and that experience is called knowledge, clarity, and appearance, and that clarity is the same as the nature of experience, because clarity and non-clarity are contradictory, and clarity is only the nature of clarity. It is the nature of experience, and thus, even if it is only clarity, it appears as a certain self due to the disturbance of habits, even if it disappears. Those selves are, in order, non-other-established, completely imputed, and dependent arising, because clarity is non-other-established.

Therefore, it should not be false. That manifestation is not a manifestation established by another manifestation, because that would lead to the fault of infinite regress. Therefore, this manifestation is the self-nature's direct perception, because being established by others is mistaken, like the appearance of a collection of sounds in the sky. Precisely because of this, there is no harm to manifestation, and there is no more excellent valid cognition in the world than this. Blue and so on definitely have harm. For example, the characteristics of blue, yellow, white, and green, and so on, appear by mutually abandoning each other, so they are not one, and because their self-nature contradicts a single appearance, they are also not many. If you say that because it is its self-nature, the manifestation is also different like it, then because they each experience their own self-nature, there is no simultaneous experience, so it would follow that there is no unified experience of everything. Therefore, blue and so on are false because they are separated from one and many, like a collection of hairs appearing on the surface of the sky. The Bhagavan also said this meaning: Like an image in a mirror, separated from one and other, it appears but is not there; likewise, the self-nature of things. Here, "other" refers to the many relative to one. "Things" refers to all phenomena of the nature of mere consciousness. "Self-nature" refers to the nature of things, such as the path of blue and so on. Furthermore, are blue and so on different from manifestation or not different? If they are different, then they will not appear. If they are not different, then they are the nature of manifestation, so they become one, or it is also not different from them, so it becomes many, so there is no simultaneous experience. Therefore, blue and so on are different from manifestation, and because they are separated from the nature of the other, they are false like the image appearing in a mirror. Therefore, it is also said: Like an image in a mirror. And so on. For this side, one and other refer to different and not different. If you say that because these blue and so on are experienced simultaneously, they are one, then no,
