Without self-nature, and with words of sorrow that cause weariness of suffering, causing sentient beings who are manifestly delighted in samsara to become weary. The noble ones also enter into the Dharma and Vinaya. In order to subdue those tractable sentient beings who are separated from attachment, the characteristics of the ordinary are described as being separated from desire. As it is said in the commentary: Like sandalwood and sandalwood trees, abiding equally to all, it is called detachment, because it has destroyed acceptance and rejection. Because they are not vessels for manifestly realizing great bliss. As it is said in the Shri Paramadya: By detachment, the world is subdued, by detachment itself it is purified. Great desire is great bliss, hidden by Vajrasattva. Thus it is. In the teachings of the Buddha, the teaching of detachment is for the sake of purifying it. Why is that? Because the heretics are liberated by the Dharma of detachment. The liberation of the Tathagatas is due to the attachment to all sentient beings. For example, Bodhisattvas even use their own wives to gather sentient beings. Desire also symbolizes Bodhi, as it is said in the Sutra of the Victory Banner of the Three Realms. I prostrate to that which is attached by desire, I prostrate to the detachment of desire, I prostrate, I prostrate to detachment. Thus, from the arrangement of the Vajra secret adornment of the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas. The wisdom of various vehicles of people, the Victorious One takes them in. It definitely arises by the three vehicles, and abides in the fruit of the one vehicle. Depending on existence and peace, within the joys of faith, completely pure pervades beings, mind-born peace is without outflows. Therefore, it is praised by the five joys, vast and constant joy is unsurpassed, this nature of wisdom and means, is determined by valid cognition and scripture. The Buddha-nature is one, but the disciples are different because of their inclinations. Therefore, after saying the secret union of Vajrapani, if others are not Buddhas, then it is spoken from the bindu of the supremely secret treasury, and it is established by reason and scripture. From the Bodhisattva grounds, the noble Asanga also said, in this bliss

These are the five kinds of happiness: the happiness of cause, the happiness of feeling, the happiness of counteracting suffering, the happiness of cessation of feeling, and the happiness of harmlessness. Among these, the two, the faculty and the object, on the side of happiness, and whatever awareness that arises from that cause and transforms feeling into happiness, and whatever action that produces the desired result in this life or in future lives, all of these combined are called the happiness of cause, there is nothing higher than this, and nothing more excellent than this. Without relying on the complete pacification of suffering, but arising from those three causes contained in the happiness of cause, the experience that benefits body and mind is called the happiness of feeling, which, in short, is divided into two types: with outflows and without outflows. Among these, the one without outflows refers to the learner. The one with outflows refers to the three realms, namely, those associated with the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. Likewise, among the differences of the six sources (six sense sources) of all the three realms, from the contact arising from the gathering of the eye faculty to the contact arising from the gathering of the mind faculty. These six are also divided into two types: bodily and mental. Among these, the one that corresponds to the five aggregates of consciousness is bodily. The one that corresponds to mental consciousness is mental. For the various kinds of suffering such as cold, heat, hunger, thirst, and the many and varied sufferings, all should be pacified by the remedies for suffering such as cold, heat, hunger, and thirst. The very moment that suffering is pacified, and the thought of happiness arises, this is called the happiness of counteracting suffering. Entering into the cessation of perception and feeling is called the happiness of cessation of feeling. The happiness of harmlessness, in short, should be understood as four types: the happiness of manifestation, the happiness of extreme solitude, the happiness of near pacification, and the happiness of perfect enlightenment. Among these, having gone forth from home to homelessness purely out of faith, and having completely liberated oneself from the various kinds of suffering of householders, this is called the happiness of manifestation.
