Meditate with distinctions such as these. Similarly, the union is like the recitation. Recitation is twofold, distinguished by common and supreme. Among these, the supreme recitation is done by closely taking the wisdom nectar that melts the moon. 'Always' means at all times. The word 'itself' means جمع, so the six limbs of union are also explained in the later tantras. Why? Because this is all the mantras, that is, the letters of all the Tathagatas, the mantra of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,Tibetan, hūṃ,Devanagari, hūṃ,seed syllable) and so on, and also the suchness of the great bliss of wisdom and means, and also the benefit of all beings without exception. Therefore, the practitioner is supreme. Alternatively, جمع, that is, also by the four vajras, as explained in the later tantras, one should perform the common recitation, through the asceticism of steadfast intelligence and so on. Through those four limbs, the three vajras and the suchness of mantra, wisdom and means, great bliss, that is, those who possess these, by diligently uniting in the four periods, one will attain common and supreme accomplishments. As it is said: Each day in four periods, possessing the union of three samadhis, having become an accomplisher, one should accomplish the common and supreme things. Thus it is. Among these, the end of the night's peace and the first half of the first period of the day are the first period. The end of all the second and third periods of the day and the first half are the second period. The end of the fourth period of the day and the night period and the first half are the third period. The end of the second and third periods of the night and the first half are the fourth period. Having supremely united in these periods, that is, diligently uniting, that is, through the equipoise of wisdom and means. The five places of the self-luminous vidyā are the head, heart, navel, secret place, thighs, and feet, and in these places, the subtle particles of each are Vairochana and so on. The letter Oṃ (ཨོཾ་,Tibetan, oṃ,Devanagari, oṃ,seed syllable) of the wisdom vajra is for the purpose of closely indicating. The wisdom vajra of the letter Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,Tibetan, hūṃ,Devanagari, hūṃ,seed syllable) and so on should also be meditated upon. In order to obscure the obstacles that cut off the path to unsurpassed enlightenment, it is the vow, that is, the intelligence of
