Afflictions are the dust that makes dirt, and it merely reveals the seed of the suchness of the mandala. What is that? It is said to be the great samaya mandala. The great samaya is Vajrasattva, it is his mandala or the place where samaya is given. It is also said, placing the mandala and bestowing empowerment, it is called the samaya mandala. What is said in brief is: the mandala is wise, it is of great essence. Or, samaya is bodhicitta, it is called that because it arises from that. Some people think that Acalanātha is the lord here, that is not true, here it is an emanation for the sake of beings clinging to the form of great desire, the emanation of Acalanātha is for taming beings who practice anger. Vajradhara is the nature of the wisdom of all the Tathāgatas, therefore his mandala should gather all sentient beings. Blessing means the meaning of the emanation made by all the Tathāgatas from the complete wisdom nectar. Clear means that the nature of mind has been without beginning, or because it is the cause of the arising of the qualities of all the Tathāgatas, it has obtained the aspect of omniscient wisdom, so it is clear. Its essence means the same as the wheel of the previous introduction, or because the essence of all the Tathāgatas has become bodhicitta, so it is the nature of the lord. Because it has many colors, it is various forms. Or, it appears through skillful means and wisdom, through meditating on the nature of supreme bliss such as mindfulness and senses, various dharmas are born, it has the nature of wisdom, so it is called that. The cloud of Buddhas pervades everywhere, which means that it is pervaded by the deities of the mandala such as the Tathāgatas, meaning that it is not just the support. Radiating rays of light means having many rays of light. When indicating the seats, the certainty of the dwelling of the Tathāgatas is declared, clear and so on.

La. Manifestation is because images arise, like the wisdom nature of a mirror, which is the All-Illuminating One. Its seat is also of its own nature, hence it is said thus. Also, as stated in the fourteenth chapter: "The All-Illuminating Great Form, Meditate on the lunar mandala." The meaning of this is, first make the All-Illuminating One, and then the Thus-Gone Ones, together with their own seats, are all pervasive. Therefore, the place of all the Thus-Gone Ones is the mandala, because it is a synonym for the name of the mandala, it is said to be the word of the mandala. Similarly, it is also said, in the Ten Compendiums of Thatness: "Sign and Pervasive Lord, Thus the support, Wisdom and lineage, And the removal of sins, Bliss-born and also the place of birth, The secret support of mantras, And also mountains and villages and vows, Houses and cities, foundations and these, These are all synonyms for mandala, These are all widely known." This is also to be practiced, for beginners, it is for the sake of habituation. Those with steadfast minds, even in a mandala conjured by the mind, there is no fault in bestowing empowerment upon beings who possess flawless vessels. Also, as it is said: "The Victorious One desires that in some places, One should also make a true mandala with the mind, In the activity of the holy mandala, The qualities of the guru and disciple increase, With the empowerment of true compassion, Not with a distracted mind, Not clinging to substances, Unstable authors as well, The main ones are also not allowed, For the sake of vows, do not see that either, Not for meaningless peace either, It is merely exhausting, Afterwards there will be regret, Even if it is desire, it does not desire meaning, It is examined by the unwise, The mandala of the mind, The wise see that." Having been established, one should view all sentient beings, this is for the meaning of empowerment, hence it is conjured here. Entering the mandala is also because vows are not shown to those who have not been empowered, hence empowerment is spoken of. From then on, etc., Bodhicitta Vajra, is the wisdom Bodhicitta of the nature of skillful means and wisdom. That itself is Vajra.

That which is indivisible is the Bhagavan Vajradhara. Moreover, in the eighteen chapters that were spoken, it is said: 'Without beginning or end, peaceful, the lord who exhausts the real and unreal, indivisible emptiness and compassion, is said to be the mind of enlightenment.' Thus it is. The term 'in the heart' means that the five Tathagatas enter the vajra-navel in the heart with the meaning of empowerment. Some consider it the secret vajra. Empowerment is as stated in the seventeenth chapter: 'Then the Bhagavan Vajrapani entered the samadhi called the glory of enjoying all the desires of the Tathagatas.' Thus, and so on, it should be understood accordingly. Now, beginning with 'then' and ending with 'abiding,' these two ultimate words are related to the second supplication. Related to the fivefold manifestation of enlightenment, the twofold manifestation of enlightenment is taught. From what do all the Tathagatas manifest enlightenment? All are the nature of Dharma, complete enjoyment, and manifestation. The arising is birth, from what samadhi? It is the vajra of the nature of emptiness and compassion, that is, entering into it. The nature of skillful means and wisdom arises from sound and clarity, manifesting the form of two moons, which is the meaning. It is also said: 'In the collection of all thoughts, firm and stable, not empty inside, the sign of being unbreakable and indivisible, not burning and not fearing, is called the emptiness vajra.' Thus it is. It abandons the wheel of the six realms, cuts off all misdeeds, the mind of enlightenment is the vajra, destroying all afflictions. Thus it is said. Or, because all believe in that very nature, all the Tathagatas are of one taste in emptiness, therefore the mind of enlightenment is the vajra. It is also said: 'In the intention, from whatever things, one realizes that they are empty, thus seeing the connection of suchness, all are Tathagatas by reason.' Thus it is. The Three Hundred Verses of the Perfection of Wisdom also say: 'Kashyapa, the Tathagata is the word of suchness.' Those
