In response, two types of mantras were spoken: the seed mantra and the invocation mantra. Both of these are also shown as the mantra of the cause. Cause, seed, and means should be understood as being of the same essence. From that, it should be understood that the characteristics of other mantras are not separately explained. Now, the forty-third question: How is the Protector invoked? As an answer: In all the realms of the ten directions, By radiating and gathering light, All Vajras are delighted. Thus it was said. With the samadhi of keeping one's mind in equanimity, contemplate the nature of the deity being practiced, and in one's heart, visualize various vajras. Then, scatter the two hands joined in a cup, filled with flowers. Then, with the two hands each holding a fist, the two thumbs inserted into the root between the index finger and the little finger of the respective left and right hands, this is called the vajra fist. Then, changing the hand gesture, raise the right forearm above and cross it, ringing the bell three times. Raise the left forearm above and cross it, striking the bell three times. The sound of the vajra bell struck in this way, and the light radiating from the three seed syllables in the hearts of the three vajras of body, speech, and mind, pervades all the realms of the ten directions. All the Buddhas abiding in those pure lands, from the state of the formless Dharmakaya, slowly arise in the form of the formed Rupakaya, becoming the Mahamudra. Make them pleased with "Om Vajrasattva Samaya (བཛྲ་ས་དུ་ས་མཱནྫཿ་ཧཱུཾ་,वज्र सत्त्व समय,vajra sattva samaya,Vajrasattva's vow)". To gather them in one place, to come without touching, to approach and abide in front, therefore it is said: All Vajras are delighted. Likewise, in the Sarva Bhuta it says: By uniting myself with Vajrasattva, From the two hands bound in the vajra mudra, By striking the vajra bell, All Buddhas are gathered. Fearing his command, all the Buddhas together with their retinues and mandalas are gathered, what need is there to mention others? Now, the forty-fourth question: How are they addressed? As an answer: After inviting all the Vajras, Offer everything without exception. Thus it was said. The samadhi mentioned above

Because of having faith, the hands make various gestures, and after shaking the hand drum, the tips of the thumbs and index fingers of the left and right hands are visualized as the union of the sun and moon, and in between, the letter ཛཿ (Tibetan: ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: जः, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: jah, literal meaning: dza) is visualized. Then, the vajra fist mudra is formed, and the two index fingers are made into the shape of iron hooks. The two arms are crossed at the chest, and the tops of the arms shake the hand drum to the left and right. From the point of union where the thumb and index finger are inseparable from skillful means and wisdom, countless goddesses holding iron hooks emanate. From the places of body, speech, and mind, light rays emanate from the three letters, and with iron hooks, they urge and invite from the hearts of all the Tathagata mandalas. At that time, recite the mantra: ཨེ་ཧྱེ་ཧི་བྷ་ག་བཱན། མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་རུ་ཎི་ཀ་དྲྀ་ཤྱ་ཧོཿ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཧོ། །ས་མ་ཡ་སྟྭཾ་ (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཧྱེ་ཧི་བྷ་ག་བཱན། མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་རུ་ཎི་ཀ་དྲྀ་ཤྱ་ཧོཿ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཧོ། །ས་མ་ཡ་སྟྭཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: omitted, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: omitted, literal meaning: omitted), and invite them, and offer foot-washing water and offerings, prostrate, request them to reside, and with the three offerings of outer, inner, and secret, with the excellent and unsurpassed offerings, make the deity merge into the deity, or offer in the manner of wisdom indulging in wisdom. Now is the forty-fifth question: What is "binding"? The answer is: Light rays can urge all the vajras, and with skillful means, all the vajras can be, in the manner of a completely gathered mass, binding is binding. Thus it is said. As shown above, from the Dharmakaya, the Rupakaya arises, gathered in one place, whispered into the ear, and after urging from the heart, in the union of skillful means and wisdom, the secret place of the consort of the main deity also emits the sound of bliss from the secret hand drum, urging, and the retinues of gods and goddesses holding iron hooks, ropes, chains, and bells emerge, the hand mudras form iron hooks, ropes, chains, and bells, and after the mantras of the names of the respective deities, recite Light rays urge all the vajra mandalas, and with that skillful means, all the vajra mandalas are completely gathered together, and in the manner of a mass, like threads of a rainbow, not mixing with each other in one body, the forms and colors clearly abide in their respective places, those are hooked with iron hooks, bound with ropes, chained with chains, and made joyful with bells.
