Even if one contemplates purity in a broken place and shows that it possesses four consorts, there is no fault. Then, when asking about the source of Dharma, why is it necessary to show the protection wheel? Answer: In the mandala of the protection wheel alone, there is also the contemplation of great power. There is also non-contemplation, but whatever is done is not contradictory. If one contemplates the deities of this tantra's mandala completely, then it is related to contemplating the wrathful deity who dispels obstacles, and to contemplating the later mandala deities. The mandala of the protection wheel is also related to generating the dwelling place of the wrathful deity, and to the palace where the later mandala deities are contemplated, because one represents the other, so there is no contradiction in showing it this way. Others say: Thus, the merits of contemplating the source of Dharma and the wheel are: By contemplation, in an instant, the Buddha-eye is generated. Thus it is said, if one contemplates the meaning of the Dharma wheel and the protection wheel with one-pointed mind as before, then in an instant, one can generate the Buddha-eye that sees all knowable things without obstruction or hindrance. If one says this, then it is not seen from the reason that it becomes like that by contemplating the nature of the palace. Now is the thirty-fifth question: How are the vows like that? As an answer: By contemplation, in an instant, the Buddha-eye is generated. The two abide in order, In that deity is Vajradhara. And so on, it is said. The yogi who practices the meaning of this tantra, from the three of body, speech, and mind, mainly practices the category of body. If one contemplates the Buddha Vairochana in the order previously shown, as in samadhi, the yogi contemplates in this way, then in that instant, the mother Buddha-eye also clearly arises in the form of sprouts and shadows, and one should contemplate the father Buddha and mother Buddha, the order of the two of method and wisdom, united and abiding in a close place. In that deity is Vajradhara. Thus it is shown to contemplate Vairochana. The deity himself is Vajradhara, which refers to the great Vajradhara, the owner of the tantra and the mandala, or the Akshobhya of the mind category. Contemplating him also

How to grasp the stages of visualization: first, generate the body of the main deity, and immediately after, also generate the consort. One should possess the four types of approaching practice. Similarly, if visualizing a single deity or a complete mandala, one should visualize only in that manner. Why visualize in that way? Because it is said, "How one enters in stages, so one arises in stages." This means that at the time of causal practice, how one enters by visualizing in stages with the union of father and mother, method and wisdom, then the resulting fruit that is accomplished, just as it was visualized, that deity arises in stages with the union of father and mother, method and wisdom. Therefore, the Secret Assembly yogi enters and accomplishes through closely visualizing the order of meaning-realm and wisdom, symbol-method and wisdom, mudra with signs and without signs, secret lord vajra and lotus, inseparably. One should attain such a result, this is what is being taught. Practice and diligence, likewise vows and commitments, all of these have been extensively explained before, with separate distinctions and orders. This refers to the many different methods of practice, and diligently practicing them with wisdom and samadhi, likewise guarding the root and branches without transgression, common and special vows, and abiding in the discipline of body, speech, and mind. These are all called "all of these," meaning that they have all been extensively explained in detail in the great root tantra. Those different orders have also been explained separately, without mixing, so one must understand and guard them accordingly. Here, they are briefly summarized, that is the meaning. For that very reason, forms, sounds, and other desirable objects, arise as the nature of pleasure and pain. This refers to the object of the eye, form, the object of the ear, sound, and the word "etc." includes the object of the nose, smell, the object of the tongue, taste, and the object of the body, touch, summarizing these five desirable qualities. They transform into three distinctions: when encountering a pleasing object, a painful feeling arises; when encountering an unpleasant object, a pleasant feeling arises; and when encountering an object that is neither pleasing nor unpleasant, a neutral feeling arises. The distinctions of the five objects
