Ah! In order to attain enlightenment, we are able to ask and hear the meaning of the Guhyasamaja Tantra. The teacher is so compassionate, and we are so fortunate! They boasted and felt amazed. The so-called "extremely difficult to obtain" means practicing various kinds of austerities from the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Even if one strives for countless kalpas, one cannot find and obtain it. This is the meaning of what was said above and what will be said below. What is it? "For the sake of enlightenment." This means that enlightenment is inexhaustible and unborn. Practice is the meaning of cause, that is, meditating on the nature of body, speech, and mind as the vajra nature of body, speech, and mind. Means refers to the four vajra seats and the four kinds of approaching and practicing, etc. Then, from where does this arise and proclaim? "The last of all tantras, the Guhyasamaja Tantra is spoken." This sentence explains this point, that is, the last of all tantras, the secret tantras, is this Guhyasamaja Tantra. This is further divided into two types: the last of what is spoken refers to the Vairochana Mayajala. Then, what does this reveal? The beginning of the sutra says "the last of the last of all tantras," the secret initiation, showing the merits of the vajra acharya, as stated in the Guhyasamaja, the recitation arises from the feet and appears. The last of the meaning refers to the meaning not included in the tantras previously spoken, which is proclaimed here, and the meaning here is not proclaimed in other tantras. Then, what does this reveal? The beginning of the sutra says the name is Guhyasamaja, and the end of the sutra here says "the last of all tantras," which reveals this point. This is further divided into three types: proclaiming what has not been proclaimed before, supplementing what has been proclaimed before, and proclaiming in order to dispel doubts about what has been proclaimed before. And this is proclaimed in order to dispel doubts in the previous root tantra. Thus, the last of the meaning of all secret tantras is the Guhyasamaja Tantra up to the point of explaining eighteen and a half chapters. And the last of that is referring to half of these eighteen chapters, that is, referring to this chapter spoken by the retinue of Vairochana and others asking the Tathagata, as spoken by the Guhyasamaja Tantra.

“Making Difficult to Understand Small” is the name, the characteristic of this tantra is that it is hidden by three secrets, the tantra is confusing, the sentences are contracted, and the key points are hidden, so it is difficult to directly understand, and it is said that it is intended to make it understood and comprehended. The Bodhisattvas repeatedly asked, and the Tathagatas successively explained, not only for their own benefit and pleasure like the lower vehicle, but for the benefit of sentient beings. It is said that the Bodhisattvas who asked the questions are in accordance with the name of Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and it shows that this Dharma is also Mahayana. If so, the Guhyasamaja Tantra has already been successively divided and widely explained, is it also said that the previous request was wrong, or is it unnecessary? Thinking of this meaning, it is said that whatever is said is truly said, what is the root tantra, its words and meanings, the previous statements have not been reversed, and it is said that they are truly correct. Even if they possess excellent and complete merits, they do not match the words and meanings of those, and the obstacles of those who offer with doubts are eliminated, and those who have a few omissions are explained, praying to the protector, and there is a need to ask questions. Fourth, the section where the Tathagatas speak well and allow to explain. As soon as the question was asked, the retinue of the Tathagatas, Vairochana and others, all the Bodhisattvas who asked the questions, the answers that will appear below, were instructed as follows. What is it? Whoever finds this tantra difficult to understand, all of them want to ask, well done, well done, great Bodhi, well done, well done, place of merit. It is said that no matter the gender of the lineage, anyone, whatever words and meanings in this tantra, those who find it difficult to understand and comprehend, all of them are for the sake of understanding and comprehending. Asking and wanting to ask is also very good, asking like you Bodhisattva Mahasattvas is extremely good, thus rejoicing and allowing to ask questions and opening the section, in that good

The first "Good!" said is that you, Bodhisattvas, have generated and entered faith in the Vajrayana secret tantra, which is very good. This shows that you still have a connection with past practices. The second "Good!" said is that it is also good to have doubts and thoughts about what you have heard. This shows that mantra has a wisdom that is different from all others and has been diligently practiced. The third "Good!" said is that it is also good to ask for the sake of eliminating those doubts. This shows that you have the good fortune to be able to be sure of liberation from mantra. The fourth "Good!" said is that it is also good to ask for the benefit of sentient beings. This shows that you have surpassed the Hinayana practitioners. The so-called "Great Bodhi" is a common general term for Bodhisattvas. It means Bodhisattva, Mahasattva. The so-called "Determined Merit" means that you ask, and we explain the tantra, or rather, the meaning of this tantra, is the source of all the great merits possessed in the tantra of the body, speech, and mind of the world and beyond, as well as the Tathagata. This also shows that the source of this tantra with great merits is both you, the questioner, and us, the speaker, so it is explained for the sake of asking. This is how it is shown. Fifth, the Bodhisattvas asked thoroughly, one by one, about the doubts that had not been resolved. As soon as the Tathagatas said this and gave their blessings, from then on, all the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, Maitreya and others, felt great joy in their hearts, and as a sign of that, the fruit of previous good practice and cultivation, like the opening of lotus petals, was not just slightly opened, but fully bloomed, and they tried hard not to blink as they gazed at the Buddha's face, which is called "opening the eyes." After gazing like this, again and again, which means adding, that is, prostrating three times, showing a different characteristic from before, indicating that when prostrating with the body, they also prostrate with speech and mind.
