Furthermore, what is it? It is the basis, nature, and distinction, which should be summarized. If explained in relation to the meaning of the tantra, the basis is the first chapter. Nature is from the second chapter to the end, encompassing all the beginning and ending meanings of this tantra. Distinction refers to the various differences in mandalas, empowerments, activities, and sadhanas within each chapter of the tantra, which are shown separately in various ways. "Should be summarized" means that these many presentations should be briefly summarized into three ways, or into two ways as described below. How should it be summarized? As it is shown: "With the bases and methods, accomplish the meaning of the three tantras. Nature is the cause of no-nature, likewise, there is no summary of the result." As it is said, first, the cause is transformed into the result, and it is shown to be without self-nature. How is it understood? "Bases" refers to the first chapter as the cause, from which the complete tantra, including the second chapter, arises. Therefore, the first chapter, which is the basis, and the second chapter and so on, which are called nature, are also called "methods," which is the meaning of the cause. With the bases and methods, what arises from the cause is called "three forms," which shows the meaning of the three forms of body, speech, and mind. Previously, the first chapter was called the basis, and the second chapter and onwards were called nature, and showing the characteristics of these meanings is called distinction. Taking these three as the cause, drawing the mandalas of body, speech, and mind, performing empowerments, practices, and initiating activities, and showing these meanings in this way is shown as the reason for accomplishing the meaning of the tantra. Therefore, nature, that is, the meaning of the tantra, is the Vajrayana without self-nature, which is the cause for accomplishing the non-abiding Nirvana. The meaning of the tantra is to establish the non-abiding Nirvana as the result. So, even if the meaning of the tantra is without self-nature, there is also a summary, and it seems that it can only be summarized into body, speech, and mind. Then, is there a summary for obtaining the result or not? Likewise, there is no summary of the result. As it is said, the meaning of the tantra.

Just as there is no inherent existence, so too is nirvana without inherent existence. Although there is gathering in the tantras, there is no gathering of results in nirvana. Why is that? Although the tantras are without inherent existence, the characteristics of all the deities, mandalas, and activities must be distinguished and shown clearly and separately, so there is gathering. The result, which is nirvana, is like the nature of space, abiding in the nature of being all-pervasive from all to all, therefore the nature and the result are gathered in one direction and are beyond comprehension. If explained in relation to the nature of the deities, then "ground" refers to the source and basis of all the great qualities that arise from the indivisibility of the realm of reality and wisdom, which is the great Vajradhara. Nature refers to the union of skillful means and wisdom, which is the general characteristic of all deities. Difference refers to the differences in the various appearances of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, goddesses, consorts, wrathful deities, and wrathful goddesses, from the central deity to the gatekeepers. These will be briefly explained in this tantra. How to gather them? The ground is pure, which is the great Vajra; the means are pure, and since the means are mainly mentioned here, it also shows the union of skillful means and wisdom. It is also inferred as the cause, therefore, the result arising from the cause made by the great Vajradhara and the union of skillful means and wisdom is called the three aspects, which are the body, speech, and mind mandalas, the appearances of Buddhas and goddesses gathered by the three aspects of outer, inner, and secret. The ground, nature, and difference mentioned above are the cause, and the result, which is the body, speech, and mind mandalas, are gathered into the three aspects of outer, inner, and secret. Explaining it in this way is to accomplish the meaning of the tantra, that is, to specifically explain the reasoning that is in accordance with the definition and meaning of the tantra. Secondly, the word "accomplishment" also guides the tantra, that is, those deities appearing as the body, speech, and mind mandalas abide in the realm of speech for the sake of the arising of the tantra, and it should be combined in this way. The so-called cause of no inherent existence refers to all the deities of the mandala in which the very nature of the deities abides without inherent existence.
