Immediately after the great Bodhisattvas inquired about the meaning of those words, all the Tathagatas, such as the Tathagata Vairochana, closely listened to the fifty-six words inquired by those great Bodhisattvas. Without considering other matters, but considering the inquiring Bodhisattvas, they quickly listened with the pleasant sound of the inquired words, clearly heard, and kept the meaning in mind, and declared it. The so-called "focusing on Vajradhara Bodhisattva" refers to the great Vajradhara who possesses the five wisdoms like a vajra, is the nature of all dharmas, and abides in the essence of all body and wisdom. However, in this context, it is so called in order to allow the inquiring Bodhisattvas to experience the image of Vajradhara Bodhisattva. Focusing on him, not speaking for a moment, is because in order to make the meaning of those words in the wisdom of the great Vajradhara's heart clear to the Tathagatas of the retinue through the blessing of focusing on him. The so-called "focusing on Vajradhara Bodhisattva," and in order to explain clearly to those Bodhisattvas what needs to be clarified, this is done in order to respect the sacred Dharma, and so that in the future, those yogis who pursue the meaning of mantras can respect and strive to learn from teachers who are proficient in the meaning of mantras. In order to complete the inquiry, they do not speak. Moreover, in order to express the truth in a profound way without making a vajra-like combination, and to show the Dharma in an unspoken way, so that the minds of the inquiring Bodhisattvas are happy, and the aspect of liberation with clear wisdom arises, they remain silent for a moment. After that, all the great Bodhisattvas, such as Maitreya, realized that the Tathagatas had silently consented considering such meaning, and were very happy. Then, they praised the mind of the five Sugata lords, such as Vairochana Buddha, who perfectly completed all the great qualities.

Therefore, those who remained without speaking were urged again and again. The reason for not speaking was for the sake of the meaning as previously explained. Because from other tantras, whenever one wishes to teach a Dharma, one first enters into that samadhi with devotion and equanimity, and then begins to teach. At that time, the retinue requests and urges before the teaching is given. Therefore, it is shown here that it is necessary to urge those who remain silent. The term "again and again" is to request that the state of abiding in the speech of meaning be transformed into the utterance of words, and to request the sequential explanation of the fifty-six points of inquiry, thus urging them numerous times. Sixth, the Tathagatas dispel doubts by answering the questions. Immediately after such urging, from then on, all the Tathagatas, such as Vairochana, addressed the Bodhisattvas, such as Maitreya, with these words, bestowing instructions. What were they? "The Vajras of body, speech, and mind, upon the Vajras of body, speech, and mind, having placed the Bodhisattva, the great meaning, listen well." Thus they spoke. The meaning is that you, the Bodhisattvas who are asking, should place the three Vajras of body, speech, and mind, both the true conventional and the ultimate, upon the three Vajras of body, speech, and mind, both the true conventional and the ultimate, possessed by the Tathagatas, equally and without separation, and listen attentively with reverence. The vast words and meanings that you have requested will be explained. Here, it is sufficient to rest the mind in equanimity, but why is it necessary to rest the body and speech in equanimity? This is to show that all Dharmas are gathered into the three Vajras of body, speech, and mind, and to realize that meaning by resting the three doors in equality. However, if the three doors of the Bodhisattva need to be placed upon the three doors of the Tathagata, what is the necessity? If samsara and nirvana, or sentient beings and Buddhas, are not separate but non-dual, then what need is there to even mention that Bodhisattvas and Tathagatas are equal and without separation? This is to show that they are not separate but non-dual. If that is the case, what need is there for a Bodhisattva to request and listen to the Dharma from the Tathagata? In ultimate truth, it is indeed so.
