Because it is difficult to grasp by either the side of existence or non-existence, it transcends those natures. If various appearances manifest, day and natures will appear, but how does night occur? Because night is the negation of the senses. Answer: Here, as long as wind and nature exist, natures will arise in the states of dream and wakefulness. In the state of dream, habit enters the alaya consciousness, and from that, those arise, without any fault. Or, even if objects do not exist, they appear separately due to delusion, like a dream. Similarly, it should be understood in the state of wakefulness as well. Skandhas, dhatus, ayatanas, indriyas, etc., the two consciousnesses gather completely here, becoming great emptiness, who is asleep? The power of wind causes one to see dreams. There is no other difference between dream and wakefulness, by fully understanding, dream desires results. And so on will occur. In order to show how long natures manifest, kshana, tangchik, yudtsam, closing the eyes, and clapping the hands. This is a brief indication. The detailed explanation is as follows: Kshana is said to be the sound of the cymbal ending. Tangchik is the time it takes to circle mustard seeds around (the palm). Yudtsam is the time it takes to breathe once. Closing the eyes is the time it takes to close the eyes. Clapping the hands is the striking of two hands together. Kshana etc. are their characteristics. It means that the time it takes for the sound of the cymbal to end is the time called kshana. The time it takes to circle mustard seeds around the palm is tangchik. The time it takes to exhale from the nostrils is yudtsam. The time it takes to close the eyes is closing the eyes. The time it takes to strike the hand against the hand is clapping the hands. Through these times, the manifestation of nature is symbolized. Otherwise, if one does not understand when the nature of wisdom, skillful means, and ignorance manifest, the natures will become confused. Therefore, because of doubting what will make what not appear, one will never enter the clear light. Then, the pervasive aspect
