Having the same field lineage, one who, having heard, skillfully teaches is called a jewel person. Thus it is said. Now, in order to explain Utpala and the white lotus from only one tantra. Although one has extensively heard many tantras and is well-versed in the scriptures, if one has not received the transmission due to neglecting the service of the guru, that person only argues about treatises that are beneficial to oneself. That person's treatise is only a cause for sorrow. Thus it is said. Tantras and Agamas are heard many times from many teachers, such as the Vaibhashikas, and although one's mind is trained, if one does not receive the oral instructions from the gurus, thinking, "I am a wise person," then one cannot even benefit oneself, so what need is there to mention benefiting others? Therefore, that person's treatise is only a cause for sorrow, because of arguing about the treatise. Therefore, that person will transcend the benefit of oneself and others, which is the meaning of speech. As it is said: Having heard all the meanings, being skilled in grasping, forgetting in an instant, is called an Utpala person. Although one has heard many things to be grasped, one does not have the ability to teach. Like a pot's cotton seed, is called a lotus person. Thus it is said. In order to explain the jewel person who has become a vessel for the disciple's teachings. Having heard many tantras, knowing the six places of knowledge, possessing mindfulness, intelligence, steadfastness, and diligence, being complete, honoring the guru's feet, and having received the transmission, that person is worthy to teach the oral instructions of the king of tantras. Thus it is said. Like a jewel person, that person is able to teach the oral instructions of the king of tantras to others. Previously, it was explained that one becomes a vessel for oral instructions, so this verse explains that it is reasonable to act for the benefit of others. What is that like? Having heard many tantras, being able to explain the tantras with the distinction of the six edges, having wisdom is realizing Suchness, and similarly, possessing the five transcendental faculties such as mindfulness, and having received the oral instructions by honoring the guru's feet. In order to explain the complete dedication of merit. Through the kindness of the noble Vajrapani, having heard many tantras, clarifying

By words, the path to enlightenment is clearly shown. By whatever merit Shakya's spiritual friend has accumulated, may it become a vessel for enlightenment with wise and clear maturation. Thus it is said. The noble path is the path to attain the state of Vajradhara, which is clearly shown. By whatever merit I have gained, may all sentient beings become vessels for enlightenment, relying on the state of union. How is it for me? By the grace of the noble Vajra Holder, having received the blessings of the great Vajradhara seen in a dream, having heard many tantras, I became wise, and with clear words, I opened this path. Therefore, may all sentient beings also become wise, and by clear maturation, become vessels for attaining enlightenment. This is a complete dedication. Shakya's spiritual friend is the name by which the teacher is greatly pleased, and the name of accomplishment is Nagarjuna. Some say that the teacher's own disciple is called Shakya's spiritual friend, and the teacher himself named the treatise he composed after his disciple because he was very pleased. In that respect, the meaning is that the noble Vajra Holder, who is both noble and a Vajra Holder, is Nagarjuna. By his grace, having heard many tantras, and so on, as before. "All pure and completely pure" means that all things are in the order of their nature and appearance, and because nature is fully understood. "The unsurpassed" means that it has a supreme meaning, and whatever meaning it exists in, it is called its word. Therefore, the order of the completely pure mind is the meaning of this word. From the commentary on the Five Stages, which clarifies the meaning of the stages, the second is the sequence of focusing on the mind. Second, the sequence of focusing on the mind.
