Second, the order of focusing on the mind. Second, the order of focusing on the mind. Now is the beginning of writing the second order. In order to pay homage to the Bhagavan Vajradhara, I prostrate and bow, I prostrate and subdue. I prostrate and praise, I prostrate and bow. How to praise and prostrate? To whom to praise, by whom to praise? I prostrate to you, the great Vajradhara! This is to pay homage to the nature of the great Vairocana. The remaining prostrations show prostration to the great Vajradhara, the nature of the five Tathagatas. Therefore, it is said, "How to praise and prostrate?" That is to say, prostration does not go beyond how to praise. In order to explain what does not go beyond, it is said, "To whom to praise, by whom to praise?" That is to say, because there is no attachment to the praiser, the praised, and the praise of the Dharmakaya without self-nature. For example, the charity of the three wheels of purity and so on. Whatever is not different from the object of prostration and the act of prostration is the supreme prostration. Why prostrate? It is to obtain the nature of the Bhagavan. If it is realized by not clinging to differences, then there is no need for prostration of body and speech. This meaning is stated in the Glorious Guhyasamaja: "One should not do from the stupa, nor should one read the scriptures in the same way. One should not do the mandala, nor should one prostrate to the three vajras." and so on. This is said in terms of the completion stage, and all of these do not contradict the worldly sayings, but are the ultimate meaning. In order to explain this, it is said, "As water into water, as oil into oil, one's own wisdom, whatever is well seen is the prostration here." That is to say, if two streams flowing from different places merge into the same place, then there is no difference between these two streams. Similarly, if buffalo ghee and one's own ghee are mixed together, then there will be no different thoughts. Similarly, here too, whose wisdom is the non-discriminating Suchness.

If one sees perfect wisdom as the absence of wisdom, then it is shown that one should prostrate to it or that it is sacred. Because self-awareness is not established as wisdom itself, it is said to be the absence of wisdom. Wisdom is jñāna (藏文,梵文天城体, jñāna, knowledge), where jñā (藏文,梵文天城体, jñā, to know) means realization, and na (藏文,梵文天城体, na, no) means negation. This will block the aspects of practicing the four yogas. If it is established by the nature of the Dharmakaya, then what need is there to meditate at that time? However, until omniscience is attained, it will not become a near object. Filled with darkness and dimness, light is obtained through remembrance. It is said, "You are right, but omniscience is the Vajra Master, and if it is not obtained from him, that is, if the oral instruction is not obtained, then it will not become a near object." That is to say, Suchness will not manifest, because its nature is not understood. To illustrate, it is said, "darkness and dimness." Just as in a room filled with darkness and dimness, through the kindness of the owner, someone holding a lamp can see the vases, cloths, and so on that are in the room. Similarly, through the kindness of the lama, the non-obvious Suchness becomes obvious, but this is not generated by the lama, but is in accordance with practice. Now, in order to briefly explain the stages of focusing on the mind, it is said: emptiness, very emptiness, the third is great emptiness, and the fourth is all emptiness, which are the differences between cause and effect. It is said that when the mind is in this state of emptiness, the consciousness that enters into it, the consciousness of the afflicted mind, and the distinction of the alaya consciousness, the mind is threefold. It will be explained later that through the sequence of mantras and mudras, after understanding the nature, the first consciousness together with its retinue is purified, and then emptiness will appear as the wisdom of appearance. Similarly, the second consciousness together with its retinue is purified, and then very emptiness will appear as the wisdom of increasing appearance. Similarly, the third consciousness together with its retinue is purified, and then great emptiness will appear as near
