Like those with large bellies, etc. These aggregates, etc., also appear separately. Therefore, they are like illusions, which is the reason for their nature. Therefore, those who assert external objects, or those who assert only consciousness, who say that the aggregates, etc., are substantial, or who assert only consciousness, those will be refuted. Therefore, not knowing the samadhi that is like an illusion, relying on characteristics through names, being bound by the net of various attachments, afflictions such as desire arise. All those illusory transformations are the manifestation of illusion, which is the nature of proliferation, so it is taught. In order to expand on this meaning, it is said: "The secret instruction of self-blessing, If not practiced from the guru, By focusing on permanence and annihilation, That person will turn back." It is said. If any disciple does not practice the samadhi that is like an illusion of the secret instruction of self-blessing from the guru, that is, the teacher, then it will not be obtained. Focusing on the view of permanence and annihilation, that person will turn back again. That is said to be turning back because it falls into the ground of ordinary beings. If, in that case, the proponents of external objects follow the collection of things and nirvana, and the proponents of only consciousness desire only consciousness, then at that time the side of permanence will arise. If one says that all things are only emptiness and calls oneself a Madhyamika, then that is the side of annihilation. Even a yogi who practices the path of mantra, if he desires the body of mantra, then he is speaking of the side of permanence. Even with the stages of focusing on the mind, if one desires the side of unwavering samadhi, then one will fall into the side of annihilation. The materialists of the world are those who speak of the side of annihilation. The Samkhyas and others also speak of the side of permanence because they believe that there are twenty-four realities. Therefore, all these turning back are in samsara. Therefore, one should strive to practice this samadhi. Now it will be said that one should offer to the guru who shows the samadhi that is like an illusion.

Therefore. Abandoning all offerings, one should make excellent offerings to the Lama. By pleasing him, one will obtain the supreme wisdom of omniscience. It is said that all offerings are offerings to the Three Jewels and so on, and that abandoning them, only the Lama's offering is the most excellent. Why is that? Because by pleasing the Lamas, one quickly obtains the wisdom of omniscience. It is also said in the Hundred Thousand Verses that relying on a spiritual friend, one obtains the enlightenment of the Buddha. In order to explain that offering itself. By offering to the Vajrasattva, the teacher of unsurpassed enlightenment, what merit has he not done? What asceticism has he not practiced? It is said that merit is based on the five perfections, such as generosity, and asceticism is guarding the vows taught in the eighth liberation and so on. There is nothing that that person has not done or practiced, but only done and practiced. Why is that? Because only the teacher Vajrasattva, the unsurpassed, the most excellent, is offered to. That offering is also preceded by hearing the Dharma, honoring that Lama, and offering external objects to him. In order to explain that itself. That itself, with inexhaustible desire, whatever is most pleasing, whatever is most special, that and that is given to the Lama. It is said that, in short, external objects and so on are exhausted. If one wants them to be inexhaustible, then one should offer them to the Lama. This shows the wisdom of all perfections. What should be offered? Whatever is most pleasing, such as external elephants, horses, sons, wives, and so on. Similarly, what is most special is one's own body, which should also be offered. For what reason should those be offered? In order to explain this. The teacher steals sins, the teacher liberates from the fear of the ocean of suffering. It is said that the teacher is the one who practices the special conduct of the world and beyond, and that by the empowerment of his wisdom,

It is the removal of sins characterized by consciousness and so on, because it has become the nature of the five Tathagatas, such as Akshobhya. Similarly, fear is the elimination of conceptualizations characterized by purity and impurity, etc., because it bestows the secret empowerment. Similarly, the fear of the ocean of suffering is the collection of one hundred and sixty characteristics of attachment, detachment, and the intermediate attachment, and liberation from that is the empowerment of wisdom, which is also the fourth Tathagata. This is because from these arises the self-luminous Suchness. Alternatively, attachment and so on and luminosity are mutually contradictory, or it is thought that those are its essence. Now, in order to examine the faults and virtues of those disciples to whom the Dharma should not be given and to whom it should be given, it is said: Whoever is piled up with pride, refutes the correct order, and despises the Dharma of Suchness, do not show him Suchness. This is saying that whoever is proud of having received empowerments many times, like that, refutes the correct order, which is Vajra recitation and so on, and like that, despises the Dharma of Suchness, which is the cause mainly consisting of oral instructions, thinking, "I can realize it myself, I don't need a guru at all," to such a flawed person, and to a flawed disciple, the guru should not show the order of blessings. That is the literal meaning. In order to explain the one with qualities, it is said: Respecting the guru, speaking the truth, being extremely wise and having one lineage, guarding the conduct of vows, one should show him this order. This is saying that to such a disciple, one should show the order, that is the connection of the words. What is that? It is whoever speaks the truth, has faith in the Vajra master, and like that, the one with one lineage is that the Dharma spoken once should be remembered for as long as one lives, because he has the wisdom to obtain the Dharma nature individually. Like that, to the one who engages in guarding the vows that should be guarded, I
