It is not possible to grasp the completely pure. For those with sharp faculties, there is no need for a distinction of time, which will be explained later. In order to explain what the difference is between wisdom and discriminating consciousness for things that are empty of self-nature, (it is said in the scripture): Self-awareness wisdom is like the sky, without characteristics. However, it has various distinctions, such as day and night and various times. Here, if the three realms are analyzed with reasoning such as "not self-born, not other-born," then it is only emptiness. However, in the Yogacara-Madhyamaka school, self-awareness wisdom appears as internal and external forms. Then, what is the difference from those who speak of consciousness with aspects? (It is said in the scripture): Like the sky, without characteristics. This means that the nature of wisdom is birth, etc., and separation from birth, etc., which is the tenet of the Madhyamaka school. This is like not being self-aware, because the form of self-awareness is not established, it is an unspeakable state. However, (it is said in the scripture): However, it has various distinctions. This means that in conventional truth, the distinctions are indicated by differences such as night. For example, just as the Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya appear separately. In order to explain these differences, (it is said in the scripture): Appearance and the arising of appearance, as well as the immediate attainment of appearance, consciousness is explained as three types, the proof of which will be explained. This means that in worldly terms, discriminating consciousness, etc., are explained as appearance, etc. If self-nature is realized, then they themselves are the wisdom of appearance, etc. Therefore, in order to prove the three types of consciousness, the order of the arising of existence will be explained. In order to explain it, (it is said in the scripture): The winds, with the form of emptiness, combine and mix with consciousness, arising from the gate of the senses, and then focus on the objects. This means that the wind that is empty of self-nature, which is burning and effort, and consciousness, which is the consciousness of the intermediate state.

The consciousness of earth or eyes, etc., becomes mixed, either completely transformed through the means of śukra (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), etc., or mixed with upward movement, etc., and the path of the senses arises from the path of the mouth or the path of the eyes, etc. The objects are form, etc., which are focused upon. At that time, appearances will arise. In order to explain how things arise in the mind, it is said: When accompanied by appearance, the wind becomes the mount, at that time all those natures, enter without remainder or residue. Appearance is the three kinds of consciousness, and when the wind associated with it becomes the mount, that is, when it becomes inseparable from its nature, then, driven by the wind, by the power of focusing on the separately determined objects, all those natures, that is, the phenomena arising from the mind enter into consciousness, that is, they produce. What are those natures like? Without remainder or residue, without remainder means arising from the three kinds of consciousness, and without residue means those that arise separately. If the phenomena arising from the mind arise separately, nevertheless, they are experienced without remainder through the means of the main and the qualities, for example, when the nature of desire arises, the nature of ignorance appears as a part, because having desire is ignorance. Similarly, it can be applied to other situations as well. In order to explain from where what nature arises, it is said: Wherever the wind dwells, that nature arises and transforms there. As long as the wind does not move, the appearance will not waver. It means that the wind dwells in the left, right, and central channels, etc., and that nature is there, that is, wisdom and means, the nature of the characteristics of near attainment arises, that is, it produces. Therefore, as long as the wind does not arise, the appearance will not waver. It means that the appearance of nature will not waver, that is, it will not be stable. Here, the negative sound, like the eye of a crow, should be combined with the two lines of the verse. The nature of appearances.
