Those who lack faith. Those who are arrogant with mantras and proud of seeing scriptures. Those who lack faith and have received inferior empowerments. The words of the stages should not be spoken to such people. It is said. Whatever disciple is like sandalwood, the words of this stage should not be spoken to him either. What is it like? Disrespecting the lama is laziness. The deceitful is the hypocrite. Those who lack faith are those who hate again. Likewise, those who are arrogant after only knowing mantras are arrogant. Likewise, seeing the scriptures means that one does not need scriptures, does not need to hear, and so on. Those who do not have faith in their hearts are those who do not like the Dharma. Those who have received inferior empowerments are those who have only received the empowerment of wisdom. Those who have not received the supreme empowerment should not be shown this stage, because they are not vessels. In order to explain the characteristics of the vessel. Whoever has respect and faith in the lama. Always diligently serve with devotion. Whoever hears and holds, for the virtuous lama. There is no need to observe whether the lama bestows grace. It is said. For a person like a jewel, there is no need to observe whether the lama bestows grace, and the meaning of the stages should be quickly shown. What is it like? Those who have faith are those who rejoice in the truth and the Three Jewels, etc. Likewise, those who respect the lama are those who are attached to the respect of the Vajra Master. Likewise, those who hear and hold are those who do not forget the Dharma spoken once and hold it until the end of their lives. It is said: Those who are pure in discipline, virtuous and upright, endowed with wisdom and gentle in nature, and who are good at teaching after hearing, are called precious people. It is said. In order to explain the great nature born of the lama's grace. Even if the top of Mount Sumeru falls a little, it will fall even if you think it will not fall. After receiving the teachings that benefit from the lama's grace, even if you think you will not be liberated, you will be liberated. It is said. Just as a person falling from the top of a mountain will fall even if he does not want to fall, likewise, a disciple who has received the lama's grace will be liberated even if he does not want to be liberated. So, here for a while, the hair stands on end

Therefore, the descent of the vajra, approximated by etc., is not taught as the oral instruction itself, because it is uncertain. Uncertainty means that for a person oppressed by desire and sorrow, etc., lightness of body, bristling of hair, etc., will also appear. It is also impossible to symbolize it through the path of teaching, because that is the cause of conceptual thought. Non-conceptual thought and conceptual thought are mutually contradictory, and if non-conceptual thought is taught, it will also fall into the fault of being accompanied by conceptual thought, for example, even if you say "do not remember," the prohibition itself is a kind of remembrance, etc. If you close your eyes and meditate on that one and only Suchness, you will not be able to obtain it thereby, because the very nature of pervasiveness will be lost. Because that one and only Suchness abides in one direction, pervading all things that move and do not move. If it exists, then meditation is unnecessary. If it does not exist, then meditation is also useless. If the two parts are brought close together, contradictory dharmas will arise, therefore, that is not suitable for meditation. Therefore, what is the kindness of the guru like? It is said: This great mantra vehicle is the four mudras taught by glorious Bodhicitta Vajra, of which three mudras are means, and the last fourth mudra is the result. Among them, temporarily entrusting any one of the karma mudras, etc., to the disciple, he experiences appearances, etc., together with it, thereby manifesting the clear light, and through metaphor and what arises from metaphor, with the reasoning of subject and dharmata, knowing that the Dharmakaya is only this, abiding in the realm of non-conceptual thought, rising from that, again with diligent wisdom, one should abide for a thousand kalpas. At the time of rising, in order to clarify the Suchness taught by the teacher, one should speak accordingly, because Suchness is self-born. Teaching that Suchness is not arising, because it is without fault. The first of the Vajra Recitation Sequence from the Commentary on the Five Stages, Clarifying the Meaning of the Stages. Second, the stage of focusing on the mind. Now is the beginning of writing the second stage, Bhagavan Vajradhara.
