It should be understood in sequence. Although all afflictions are abandoned through the practice of the path, as long as the aggregates remain, there is no liberation, which is the nirvana with remainder. Just as a lamp goes out when the oil is exhausted, the destruction of the aggregates is said to be the nirvana without remainder. These are not different, which is union. Therefore, there is no difference between samsara and nirvana. The only difference is made by complete knowledge and incomplete knowledge. As it is said: Samsara and nirvana, these two are not existent. When samsara is completely known, it is said to be nirvana. Thus it is said, which is the ultimate of the general meaning going first. In order to explain the difference between the Shravaka and Madhyamaka schools. Wherever the selflessness of the person and the selflessness of phenomena are the very nature, those who are completely liberated from the two kinds of conceptualizations are the characteristics of union. Thus it is said. This is to eliminate the unreasonable conceptualizations of the eternal person, etc., which are completely conceived by those others, so it is prohibited by the noble Shravakas. After prohibiting that, they rely on the view of the selflessness of the person. Because all phenomena are considered to be substantial, they do not rely on the view of the selflessness of phenomena. Those Madhyamikas assert that phenomena are devoid of one and many, so they assert that they are non-existent. The absence of both is their established doctrine. Thus, whoever does not separately conceptualize that both are selfless, knows the characteristics of union, thus connecting with the previous text. Like the previous text, it is the ultimate. Furthermore, in order to explain the differences of the completion stage. After knowing the sequence of knowing that, the clear light of my blessing, is fully gathered in that, this is the sequence of union. Thus it is said. The illusion of the nature of cause and effect and the gathering of clear light, etc., is the suchness of the inseparability of conventional and ultimate, which is said to be called union. It is the ultimate of the hidden meaning with essence. In order to explain the differences of samadhi. Complete holding and subsequent destruction, as well as abiding in suchness, and where it arises from there, is equalized union.

O! It is said, to hold completely and then to dismantle, this has been said before. Among them, whichever enters the state of Suchness, that is entering the state of emptiness of all. From that, where do the two that arise simultaneously merge, that is said to be union. For what reason is the Vajra Body in a state of equal abiding, and there is no time when it is not in equal abiding? It is because it is like the sky. Therefore, to focus on Suchness, and to arise from it, is similar to a yogi who has attained the fruit. As it is said: The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are always in a state of equal abiding. This will occur. Therefore, in the four behaviors of walking, staying, sitting, and lying down, the Bhagavat are always in a state of equal abiding, this is also taught elsewhere, it is ultimate. In order to explain the aspect of Madhyamaka again: Conventional and ultimate, if one knows their individual differences, where they are completely merged, that is said to be union. It is said that the nature of sound and discrimination is conventional, and other than that is ultimate. Among them, some Madhyamikas think that ultimate and conventional are different, and even that they are different from each other, because they are contradictory. Some Madhyamikas who advocate annihilation think that there is only ultimate, because conventional is false like a magical person. Some think that only conventional is like a magic, so they do not admit ultimate, because it has no practical function. Whatever has a practical function, that is the truth of conventional, however, even if it is a magic, if analyzed, it will become without an object. This shows that all of these are wrong because they fall into two extremes. Those who know that conventional and ultimate are merged together, they will realize union. As it is said: Form is emptiness, emptiness is form, form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form, etc., this is said in the Mother of the Buddhas Sutra. In order to explain the aspect of the generation stage, Suchness
