It says, "One should receive it again from the disciple." This means that in order for the disciple who has previously obtained the four instructions through the aforementioned sequence to uphold the ultimate bodhicitta, he should join his palms filled with flowers and receive it again from the lama. What kind of disciple? Virtuous means possessing a vast and profound mind. Good means possessing qualities such as faith, just as the word implies. In order to explain it, it says, "Completely separated from all things, aggregates, elements, and sense bases, completely abandoning the object of grasping and the grasper, equal to the selflessness of phenomena, one's own mind is originally unborn, the nature of emptiness." These are the verses that reveal the ultimate bodhicitta. The disciple who is allowed to speak by the lama says, "I should uphold such a bodhicitta." Among them, all things refer to the self, etc., and being completely separated from it is because the self, etc., is not established by valid cognition. As it is said, "The aggregates are not the self, they are here, nor is it in them, not mixed like fire and firewood, so how does the self exist? The self, called a thing, does not exist, how can one speak of an agent? If there is a dharma-nature, then the thoughts of all dharmas will completely enter the world." As it is said, similarly, abandoning the aggregates, elements, and sense bases accepted by one's own school, because they are not established by the non-apprehension of pervasion. Showing the aggregates, etc., this is also provisional meaning, it needs to be guided. The definitive meaning is not like that. As it is said, "The sense bases such as form exist, for the beings to be tamed by it, like sentient beings born by illusion, it is spoken according to need." And so on will appear. Abandoning the object of grasping and the grasper, it means that all things do not exist in the external world, because they are separated from one and many, or because of dependent origination. Therefore, only the alaya-consciousness, by the power of habit, appears as the external world in that particular aspect, like a dream. Therefore, the nature of the object of grasping and the grasper is only the alaya-consciousness, the aspect

This is the tenet of those who speak of consciousness-only. Since phenomena do not exist as before, and because there is no object to be grasped, there is no grasper. The view that there are no phenomena is also not reasonable. Why? Because the past and future do not exist, and even the moment that arises in the present does not remain, so it also does not exist. In order to explain one's own tenet, it is said, "The selflessness of phenomena and equality." All phenomena are selfless, meaning both are selfless. The equality that arises from it is due to the fact that one's own mind has not arisen from the beginning, because it arises from dependent origination. Precisely because of this, for "the nature of emptiness," the mind of emptiness that appears is not like something that truly exists. As it is said: Meditation, the object of meditation, the meditator, by abandoning these, one sees the truth. Whoever knows that these are merely conceptualizations will be liberated. Thus it is said. That is the meaning of self-luminous nature, the ultimate meaning. Then, offering a handful of flowers at the feet of the guru, in order to make offerings, then make corresponding offerings. One should offer to the guru precious houses, elephants, horses, land, beds, etc., as well as servants, maids, beautiful wives, very lovely daughters, and even oneself can be offered. What need is there to mention the rest? Thus it is said. These two verses express the offering of generosity, great generosity, and complete generosity, which should be offered to the guru, as the words indicate. In order to explain how to draw near, for the guru, having received kindness, stainless, possessing steadfast wisdom, the master of all things, clear, pure, extremely subtle, the nature of supreme peace, the realm of Buddha's nirvana, non-dual, free from conceptualization, the nature of constant bliss, this is what the yogi should meditate on. Merit, non-merit, liberation, oneself here becomes the Bhagavan Vajrasattva. Thus it is said. Having received kindness from the guru, that is, the yogi who has received the instructions from the guru, he will become the Bhagavan Vajrasattva himself, this is the connection of the words. What is that like? Stainless, possessing steadfast wisdom,
