The difference in support only indicates the difference in name. There is no difference in the nature of enlightenment. Now, in order to explain in one verse that practice is unnecessary for the thusness that is established by nature: "With a nature established from the beginning, if it is accomplished by its essence, what is the use of the effort of learning? Thusness does not arise from thought." Thus it is said. Thusness is the nature of reality, and it is not created, because it is without beginning or end. Therefore, only that which is established by nature is thusness, and it does not arise from thought. If one learns it through the path, it will only arise from thought. In order to answer this, it is said: "Whoever thinks like that here, has abandoned the order of wisdom. Because he does not know its distinctions, he will learn again." Thus it is said. The effort of learning is not necessary. Your words are illogical, because those who have completely abandoned the order of the three wisdoms, such as appearances, and have realized the order of the self-established nature of the person, their distinction is the distinction between nature and appearances, in which case what nature arises, and what is its nature. Because they do not know these distinctions, they will become beginners. Therefore, it is reasonable for those people to learn those distinctions, this is the conclusion. In order to explain the learning itself, it is said: "Knowing the distinction between nature and appearances, relying on the fourth thusness, whoever learns the three aspects, will quickly obtain the result." Thus it is said. Nature is one hundred and sixty, and appearances are three. The yogi who knows these distinctions, relying on the fourth thusness, which is the clear light of the mind, or relying on the clear light of nature. Therefore, he will quickly obtain the result, which means he will manifest the characteristic of non-abiding nirvana. And how is that? If one learns the three aspects, then he will manifest the result, otherwise he will not, this is his intention. This proves that without meditation, enlightenment cannot be attained.
