It is knowledge. Therefore, extensively abandoning the wisdom of appearance, one should meditate on the lunar mandala arising from the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanized: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). Then it is said again: From that, focus on the moon, Thoroughly contemplate the vajra sign, This is born from the vajra, Said as the means of the yogi. Thus it is said, on top of the previously meditated moon, meditate on the vajra arising from the tsek-drak (Tibetan: ཚེག་དྲག་), and knowing that it is the wisdom of means, completely abandon the wisdom of proliferating appearances. At that time, the yogi is the yogi of the generation stage, because of meditating on the moon and so on. Furthermore: Moon, vajra, etc., combined, Mind, self-mind, arising, gathered, From the union of wisdom and means, The form of the deity will arise. Sealed with four mudras, Holding the deity's pride, Endowed with the generation stage, The mantra practitioner will always practice. Thus it is said, the moon is wisdom, the vajra is means, the union of the two is the Tathagata, with the act of benefiting sentient beings preceding through the means of emanating and withdrawing, that which is the unification of those is the attainment of near appearance. Knowing this, completely abandoning the third wisdom, contemplate the form, body, speech, mind, and samadhi of any deity such as Vajradhara, sealed with the supreme seed syllable mudra, or sealed with the eyes of goddesses, etc., or completely surrounded, whoever abides in this is the yogi of the generation stage. Thus it is said, having fallen from the tenth ground, abiding on the ground of the first karma practitioner. Alas! Here, the habitual patterns of conceptual thought flow, by what is it grasped, abandoning the path of distinction and relying on the path of conceptual thought. For example, a confused person is deluded by confusion, mistaking a mirage for water. Similarly, those of the Shravaka lineage are like the appearance of each separate realm of the non-residual Nirvana, and like the cessation attainment. If it is said that in the generation stage, one can also attain Buddhahood by meditating on the six Chakravartins such as Vajradhara, therefore there is no fault. The answer is: Attaining Buddhahood is true, but because it is the yoga of conceptual thought.

It is said that the form of worldly deities is not completely pure. When will it be completely pure through the silence of speech, etc.? At that time, it is said to be the form of a completely pure deity. That is, if one does not practice the completion stage, one can only accomplish the words previously stated. To explain this, as stated in the glorious Guhyasamāja Tantra: "There it is explained in detail, how to practice to become a union, that is the first line of action." In this regard, the sixth chapter of the glorious Guhyasamāja Tantra says: "Through the union of the mantra body, it is not practicing for enlightenment." And so on. In the Tantra of the Complete Inquiry of Dharmadhātu, it is also said: "When the body of karma is destroyed, then it becomes a deity similar to it. As long as the body exists, then it is karma and non-karma." The Chakrasamvara also says: "In images such as paintings, yoga does not arise, bodhicitta is the union, therefore yoga is the deity." The Vajramala also says: "That faith arises from that lineage, the various differences of deities and goddesses, are not those, but are relied upon separately for the benefit of sentient beings." In the Intentional Scripture, it is also said: "From that completely transformed form, which deity closely manifests." And so on. This is the meaning of the word "etc." Now, in order to explain the completion stage, now the clarity of the complete yoga will be explained. It is said that the yoga accomplished by nature is the completely perfect yoga. In order to explain it, what is the purity of the three emptinesses, here it is explained as luminosity. The place where everything is empty is also that, the three wisdoms are pure. It is said that wherever the three emptinesses exist, that is the three emptinesses, that is, the three consciousnesses. Its purity is that which does not depend on the order of mantras and mudras, that is explained as luminosity. Everything is empty because it makes consciousness and nature invisible, and the place is the support of the enjoyment body and the emanation body.
