Whatever form arises is symbolized as a deity. Whichever seed syllable symbolizes that deity's proximity is the complete accomplishment, which is the meaning of the mantra. Because what is to be said and what is saying are in accordance. In order to explain the symbols, the symbol abides in the three realities, which is the characteristic of reciting the self-nature. It is said that the symbol is the symbol of the mantra, which is the name. And what is it like? The so-called abiding in the three realities is symbolized by the three realities, namely the reality of the body, the reality of speech, and the reality of mind, which is the symbol of the three letters. Similarly, the characteristic of reciting the self-nature is that the self-nature is the kinds of mantras. Reciting its reality is the characteristic of combining and not combining the three letters, which is also a symbol. Because the symbols of emanations and so on depend on the three letters, they become symbols of snakes and so on, which shows the symbol of the mantra. Now, in order to explain the reality of the mantra, it is said in the scripture: The wisdom spoken by A becomes the essence of the Buddha. That is, relying on A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, literal Chinese meaning: none), that wisdom, which is the reality of the characteristic of not being born from the beginning of all dharmas. That Buddha is the great Vajradhara who realizes the self-nature of all dharmas. Saying it is the reality of the essence of prostration and so on, which is the reality of the mantra. Because without it, the collection of mantras and the collection of all dharmas will become meaningless. As it is said: Eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, the aggregates of Dharma spoken by the Great Hero, if one does not know its reality, all of these will be fruitless. The yogi of the generation stage perfects the form of the Buddha through developing, gathering, and abiding. Here, in order to explain that its form is self-accomplished, it is said in the scripture: Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) truly develops sentient beings, contemplates them as the Buddha's body, Oṃ (ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Roman transliteration: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Oṃ) truly gathers sentient beings, and A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, literal Chinese meaning: none) makes them abide. It is said that the letter Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) is the self-nature of rising, and its sentient beings are the aggregates.

And, the nature of realms and sources, etc., should be well observed as the Buddha's body. This is the nature of the Tathāgata, the goddess, and the Bodhisattva, which truly makes one rejoice, because only the rising wind can make these appear. Appearance is appearance and joy, which are synonyms. Similarly, because it is the nature of entering, the letter Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om) can truly gather the Buddhas of sentient beings as before. The letter Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, literal Chinese meaning: Ah) can make them abide. If so, then in terms of the generation stage, joy, gathering, and abiding for the Buddha-fields, etc., become meaningless, this is his thought. Now, in order to explain the nature through the action of Vajra recitation, it is said: Entering, abiding, and rising, also in order, abide in the base of wisdom and means, recite without impairing the limbs of the mantra. This is saying that the mantra should be recited with the yoga of the deity whose limbs are not impaired, this is the connection of the words. Order refers to showing the order of entering, etc. How should the yogi recite? Abiding in the base of wisdom and means, refers to wisdom being the letter A (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, literal Chinese meaning: A), means being the letter Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum), the base being the letter of prostration in the place of neither male nor female, abiding there, that is, abiding in the three letters of the same nature as life, effort, and fire. Because these three letters are the body of all mantras, they are the nature of remembering body, speech, and mind. For example, it rises upward, with the distinctions of right, etc., and red, etc., focusing on the inner time at the tip of the conventional nose, at the time when the four wheels appear, it performs the collection of peaceful and other activities. It dissipates downward, gathering the life wheel, transforming into the form of a white drop, thereby generating the samsaric beings. It generates the body with the constant mantra for the yogis of the generation stage. It, at the tip of the lotus, becomes the cause of one-pointedness of mind for the subtle yogis. It, for those who desire accomplishment, is all the Tathagatas.
