pa rtogs nas ni. This means that by means of the other shore of the suchness of mantra, one knows without doubt, and the so-called vajra recitation is the meaning of speech. Now, in order to explain the order of the second stage and so on, it is said: Having recited the vajra, the yogi will obtain focus on the mind. Abiding in the samadhi like an illusion, the true limit is completely purified. Having practiced from the true limit, one will obtain non-dual wisdom. Abiding in the union samadhi, one will no longer be reborn in any pure land. This is what was said. Its meaning is: abiding in the vajra recitation, that is, abiding in the ultimate clear light nature of the eunuch's recitation, and through focusing on the mind, the yogi will obtain complete purification of the mind. Because first, through the generation stage, the yogi makes the body completely tranquil, through the stage of vajra recitation, the speech is made completely tranquil, and then through the stage, the mind is made completely tranquil with the second. This is also the previously explained sequence of mantras and the sequence of mudras. It can only be obtained through these two methods, otherwise it is not possible. These two methods will also be clearly explained in the following order. If the nature of mind does not have these two methods, then the nature of mind cannot be interpreted, because there is no original shape, color, etc. Arya Deva also said this: The nature of mind is not to be interpreted. Because there is no shape, color, form, and concept, etc., the nature of mind is not the wisdom of distinction, let alone its complete purity? Therefore, I pray that the Blessed One Vajra Guru will explain its nature to me. Then, the guru listened to the disciple's words and said: Great wisdom, well done, well done! You asked me about the nature of mind, and I will explain it to you in detail according to the teachings of the sutras and tantras. First, the measure of the Lankavatara Sutra will be explained. In addition, the great wisdom Bodhisattva Mahasattva, if you want to fully understand the appearance seen by the mind and the realm of the taker, you must be attached to greed, etc.

One should abide in tranquility. Among them, the three consciousnesses become the cause, which are all things, such as the heavens, liberation, wavering, unwavering, the taken, the taker, the wheel of twelve interdependent origination, virtue, non-virtuous thoughts, appearance, darkness, female, male, hermaphrodite, the inner self's birth, dwelling, and destruction. In short, the sensory objects of the three realms of beings are the three consciousnesses. In the Sutra Requested by Sagacious Protector, the Blessed One also taught, "Sagacious Protector, that which enters by the power of miraculous abilities, and that which enters by the power of consciousness conforming to karma, the realm of consciousness enters into various supports. This realm of consciousness is the maker, because it gives rise to the body. This realm of consciousness will not be exhausted, because it relies on the realm of Dharma. This realm of consciousness possesses intelligence, because it remembers all things that depend on the body. This realm of consciousness should be seen as similar to the rays of the sun. For example, the rays of the sun fall on foul-smelling impurities and fragrant lotuses, but it has no discrimination of foul smells and fragrances. Similarly, this realm of consciousness, even if it takes birth in impure places and pig's birthplaces, will not be stained by their faults." Thus, although these three consciousnesses are pervasive, they forget their own nature due to the faults of their own nature, and wander in the six realms, thereby slowing down the realm of sentient beings. As it is said, "I am not afraid of thieves who steal wealth, because those wealth, once stolen, does not belong to me. The virtuous wealth accumulated in the mind is instantly taken away by the discriminating thoughts arising from one's own nature." Therefore, discriminating thoughts are the dharmas arising from virtuous, non-virtuous, and unspecified minds. What are they like?
