Tsam. The term "tsam" means as small as a mustard seed. Whatever has the size of a mustard seed is called the size of a mustard seed, meaning the subtle wind with form. The nose tip, etc., called yoga, is the yoga of the gods, which is one explanation. The mustard seed on the tip of the nose refers to the middle of Ali and Kali. The meaning of mustard seed is the mind itself, which is subtle and has form. To think means to remember, to entrust, and to stabilize. Because the mustard seed is the movement and non-movement of the mind, it is meditated upon as the image of the wheel of the mandala that is the support and the supported. Therefore, meditating on it alone is sufficient. It will become the meditation on the mandala of Vajradhara and those with the mandala. Why is that so? Because it is up to the place of wisdom, as well as the perfectly abiding, and the original place. Delightful is supreme. Secret is to be hidden, to be obtained from the guru's mouth, and to be realized as previously shown. Called the examination of wisdom, it means that the nature of the three wisdoms is examined as wind. Because it is the nature of the five families, it is called five colors. Because it is not the realm of practice for anyone other than a jewel-like person, it is called a jewel. Called the size of a mustard seed, it means extremely subtle. At the tip of the nose means abandoning sins. Diligently means with a mind in equipoise. Yoga means that Roma and Kyangma, etc., are truly joined. Constantly means day and night. Therefore, the teacher also said that this was spoken with intention, and it should be understood by transmitting it from one guru to another, not from other sources. This word of Vajra is the indestructible wisdom of Vajra. In order to show the explanation that makes it clear, just as tying it up shows the meaning, therefore "explanation" is spoken. Whatever shows completely and makes it extremely clear is the auspicious secret spoken by the Bhagavan.

It is said in the Tantra Explaining the Words of the Compendium: 'That' refers to what is accomplished by the tip of the nose, etc. 'Essence' refers to the subtle yoga taught in the generation stage. Therefore, it becomes the essence and enters the essence. 'Supreme' means excellent, because it is not the realm of practice for child yogis. 'Secret' means that which should not be declared. 'All Buddhas' indicates that one should be extremely respectful of this yoga; if it is to be kept secret even from the Buddhas, what need is there to mention others? 'That which' refers to what was previously taught. What is it? It is 'all self-nature,' which means pervading the bodies of sentient beings. 'The substance of the five wisdoms' refers to the nature of the five wisdoms, such as mirror-like wisdom. 'Thatness' refers to the fact that in the desires of the completion stage, it becomes the very cause of attaining thatness, therefore it is thatness. 'Mustard seed,' etc., one should remember the meaning previously taught. 'In its center,' etc., because it is a divine substance, the realm of consciousness is called a deity, because it causes beings such as deities to rejoice. 'Unclear' means because it cannot be known. 'Having form' means that it appears in various forms. 'This meaning' refers to the meaning just taught. 'With the five wisdoms,' etc., 'arising' and 'lotus tip of the nose' refer to the tip of the nose of the lotus of the face. 'Sphere-shaped earth' refers to the form that gathers the ten winds, such as life. Therefore, it is said, 'Five precious colors,' etc. 'Self-mantra,' etc., 'heart center' refers to the heart center of the wisdom being. 'Mind' refers to thought. 'Dwelling in the bindu' refers to that bindu. What is it? Life should be regarded as included in the bindu. In the restraint of self-mastery and preciousness, one should remember the grasped and the grasper. The mind transforms into the vajra of restraint, and appears as a sign.
