It is also said thus. Similarly, embracing the thought of "what else could it be like?", it was said: It possesses words, yet it subdues speech. It possesses enjoyment, yet it is free from objects. It is the protector of the world, yet it becomes a servant of others. Whoever realizes this will exhaust all faults. Thus it was said. Similarly, the yogi possesses words, that is to say, even if he possesses various kinds of words such as speech, language, songs, and kings, he should subdue speech and completely control it, because the conceptualizations of speech, sounds, are not perceived. The reason for not perceiving them is because one has comprehended the luminosity. Similarly, enjoyment, that is to say, even if one possesses and is connected with the five objects of desire, it is said to be free from objects, that is, there is no attachment to objects such as forms. Because they see these as the nature of illusion-like samadhi and see them as pure. Similarly, it is heard in the Mahayana sutras that the Bhagavan, with illusion-like samadhi, placed five hundred shravaka monks of the lineage who had views with attachment, into the reality of luminosity in a single instant. For example, the perfectly enlightened Buddha Bhagavan, whose mind is moistened by the nectar of great compassion, saw five hundred shravakas residing in the state of monks in a solitary place, and through the application of rays of light, emanated some men with the appearance of monks and spread them out. Then, as they walked and went away, they met those five hundred monks in the middle of the road. They said: Venerable one, who are you? He said: There is no such thing as a venerable one. They said: In terms of vows, are you old or young, or neither? He said to them: What is asceticism? Whose asceticism? Who is whose asceticism? Who is old? Who is young? They said: Where did you come from? Where are you going? He said: I did not come from anywhere, and I am not going anywhere. Who is going? Where should one go? They said: Where do you live? What is your name and clan? He said: Where no

exists, and I have no name, caste, etc. They said: What is your samadhi? I have no samadhi, I am just like this and that. Then, those monks, by the power of the Buddha's blessing, in an instant entered the illusory samadhi that is free from going and coming, etc., thereby manifesting the true nature of reality. Similarly, because it is for the benefit of the world, even the protector of the world becomes a servant and hireling of other sentient beings, because there is no pride. As it is said in the scriptures: For beings, like a child of a low caste, abandoning arrogance and pride. Realizing the non-dual reality is the realization of that. Therefore, those who have exhausted all faults such as desire are called ultimate. Now, from the gateway of two samadhis, manifest enlightenment. A disciple who has received the instructions, then learns the two yogas, namely the order of complete retention, and the subsequent order of dissolution. Thus it is said, having received the instructions from the guru, that is, the instructions on the order of manifest enlightenment, in order to explain it, the two yogas, that is, practicing samadhi with two distinctions. One is the order of complete retention, and the second is the subsequent order of dissolution, which is what is being explained, that is, the literal meaning. The explanation is: From the head to the feet, or until reaching the heart, the yoga completely enters, this is called complete retention. Thus it is said, writing letters on the eight-spoked wheel of the navel chakra, with the wisdom of all dharmas being without self, arising from this, then ascending upon it, starting from the head, burning up to the feet, then returning again to the heart, doing it in that way, the yogi completely enters the ultimate, that is, the ultimate truth, this is said to be the samadhi of complete retention.

Holding is holding as a whole. The word "saying" indicates that it is a valid scripture, and "is" means ultimate. Walking and not walking, first one should make light clear, then like that, oneself. That is the sequence of subsequent destruction. With this sequence, the self-nature of walking transformed by the wheel of light that emerges from all the gaps in the pores should be made invisible, and likewise, oneself should also be made invisible, saying "is" means like dust, separating each tiny dust and walking, because the walking is not observed, it is called subsequent destruction, which means ultimate. Here are two examples: Just as the water of a river or pond is clear and spotless, and the moon appears in it. Likewise, the yogi should constantly contemplate the subsequent destruction with this sequence. One should also observe how the breath on the mirror gradually disappears. For those who hold the whole, this sequence of actions should be truly observed in this way. Like that. In order to repeatedly become accustomed to the clear light, the breath of air on the mirror, how it completely dissolves, likewise, the true ultimate of yoga, one should repeatedly enter. It is said that just as when the breath of air, that is, the air from the mouth, is placed on a spotless mirror, it dissolves and becomes peaceful in an instant, likewise, the yogi should enter the true ultimate, that is, the clear light, in each moment, which means indicating that it is habitual and stable. Otherwise, one will not abide in the moment of ultimate truth that shakes like lightning, saying "is" means ultimate. Entering the clear light in all activities is: walking, staying, sleeping, and eating, opening and closing the eyes, and laughing, with this combination of meditation, that awareness constantly abides. It is said that walking and so on are the four types of activities. Eating and so on represent the functions of the senses, therefore, when entering into all activities, the yogi should demonstrate this samadhi. That awareness means knowing the ultimate truth as it is. Constantly means day and night, saying "is" means ultimate.
