That very place, The Omniscient, the Supreme, the Unequaled, Unchanging and without appearance, The non-dual, supremely peaceful state. Thus it is said. What is that Clear Light like? The pure abode of the wisdoms such as appearances is the basis of purity. That itself is the self-nature of the ultimate truth. The Omniscient One is Vajradhara himself, the nature of the samadhi like the vajra of the twelfth bhumi. Because there is nothing above it, it is unsurpassed, the fourth. Change is the three, such as joy, and because it is separate from them, it is unchanging. Appearance is consciousness, wisdom, discrimination, and nature, and because these are abandoned, it is without appearance. The two are the conceptualizations of relative and ultimate truth, and because these do not exist, it is non-dual. Supreme is sacred because the state of Vajradhara is attained. Peace is separation from all conceptual elaborations. Such a state of emptiness is called Clear Light, it is hidden. It is shown that only from the Clear Light does the Omniscient One arise, and not from anything else. Saying "exists" and saying "does not exist," That cannot be expressed by words. Therefore, from the pure Clear Light, The three wisdoms truly arise. Holding the thirty-two marks, Endowed with the eighty excellent signs, Possessing all supreme aspects, The Omniscient One arises from there. Thus it is said. That Clear Light is not indicated by conceptualization, because the discriminations of the self-nature of the conventional do not exist. It is also not non-existent, because it is to be experienced by the direct perception of the yoga of the extremely bright nature. What is it like? It cannot be expressed in words, because it is to be known by oneself, like the extreme joy of a young woman and a mute seeing a dream. It cannot be established and indicated in the conventional, not through the door of its own nature, like showing the experience of happiness and suffering of gods and hells. Therefore, it is not the object of speech. Therefore, the Clear Light is the self that is always clear.

From its very nature, which is pure and without defilement, the three wisdoms will arise and dissolve into it. Thus it is said, for the sake of what was previously taught. Not only that, but even the all-knowing one, the Great Vajradhara, will arise from it. What is it like? Endowed with the thirty-two marks of a great being and the eighty minor marks, and the supreme of all connections, the ten powers and fearlessness, the six superknowledges, dharani, the grounds, the perfections, the aspects of enlightenment, and the unmixed qualities, etc., and the qualities of the Buddha such as great compassion, etc., will be endowed and accomplished. Thus it is taught, that from the order of self-blessing after the clear realization of luminosity, one relies on a rainbow-like body in an instant, and is completely surrounded by the entire mandala, and becomes the Great Vajradhara who is able to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings until the end of samsara, this is the hidden meaning. In order to show it with the authority of scripture, it is said in the great vehicle sutra of vast play: Shakya Simha, the Tathagata, desires to be manifestly enlightened, the great emptiness is the Buddha himself, he intends to attain it and contemplates it. On the bank of the Nairanjana River, he dwells in the immovable state. Thus it is said, from where the birth, enlightenment, the wheel of Dharma, coming from the palace, renunciation, practicing joy, going among the gods, subduing the maras, and complete nirvana, etc., the story of the Blessed One Shakyamuni, is taught in the great vehicle sutra called Vast Play. Shakya Simha is the most excellent of the Shakya clan. In order to closely examine what will happen as it has happened, the Tathagata, is so called because he has realized suchness. Fourth, desiring and intending to attain the manifest enlightenment of the luminous nature, therefore desiring manifest enlightenment. Desiring to manifest the fourth nature, one thinks thus, the four natures

If asked what I am, it is called the Great Emptiness. Like this, this is both emptiness and great, therefore it is the Great Emptiness. Beyond that, there is no other emptiness. Therefore, it must be obtained, and I shall attain and realize Buddhahood through that very samadhi. Based on this manifest intention, he began to seek a solitary place for samadhi, away from the crowds. Eventually, he saw the stream of the Nairanjana River flowing very peacefully, becoming a cause for single-pointedness of mind, and he went to its bank. There he sat near the root of the Ashvattha tree, and gradually purifying his mind, he entered the third suchness of the characteristic of transformation of state, the immovable samadhi called the Great Emptiness, and remained in equipoise. Because it is completely unmoving and engages with the karmic imprints associated with all seeds, it is called 'immovable,' that is, the Great Emptiness. Shakya Simha was completely pleased by just that much, which is the hidden meaning of the words. Subsequently, to show that this is not the only suchness, the Tathagatas indicated to him as follows: At that time, the victorious ones abiding in the expanse of space, as filled with sesame seeds, spoke with one unwavering voice to the son of the victorious ones. This is what was said. Seeing the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, who was in equipoise in the immovable samadhi, having attained perfect and complete enlightenment through the sequence of hearing and so forth, and wholeheartedly taking on the task of benefiting sentient beings, endowed with the six abhijñās, and having attained the state of Buddhahood, those Bhagavan who were previously accomplished, pervaded the expanse of space like sesame seeds filling a pod, unmixed with one another. In order to embrace him, they emanated wheels of light from their bodies and empowered him with them, making him a suitable vessel. In order to abandon the third samadhi, through the instruction of the fourth key instruction, in order to manifestly realize enlightenment, he thought: This fortunate kalpa will become a king of Dharma and will tame beings.
