Second, the order of complete purification of the mind. Second, the order of complete purification of the mind. Now, in order to show the order of complete purification of the mind, first is prostration. I prostrate to you, I salute you. I prostrate to you, prostrate and salute. How to praise, to whom do you prostrate? What to praise, to whom to praise? Thus it is said. The Tibetan word "O Bhagavan Vajradhara the Great" should be extracted from here. Like this, hearing and recollection, and extracting from it. The meaning of the three sutras will be shown. Among them, hearing is direct perception, for example: "Protector, Lord of all sentient beings, I bow to the glorious Great Bliss." Just as the word "Great Bliss" is obtained there, which expresses Vajradhara. Recollection is to realize by the sign of recollection, and to realize by the recollection of special words, even non-existent things can be realized. For example, in the order of union: "Protector, the nature of cause and effect." Just as through the difference of the nature of cause and effect, other words are unreasonable, and it is recollected that only Vajradhara the Great is. The words "the nature of cause and effect" do not directly show, like the words Vajrasattva and so on. Here, there is no hearing of the word Vajradhara, nor is it recollected by the power of the sound that becomes its difference. However, there are words of prostration, therefore the word Vajradhara, which should be praised, is extracted from it. The so-called extracting from it is to examine the sound that does not exist. I prostrate to you, that is, to pay homage completely with body, speech, and mind. The four words of prostration are combined to show the excellence of faith. Sentient beings with joy and fear, etc., who are controlled, speakers also praise and slander in the same way. If a word is spoken not once but many times, then there is no fault of repetition. Just like that, for wonder and argument, anger and frustration and certainty, faith and rejoicing, one word can also be said twice.

Thus it is said. How to prostrate to you? Like praising, that is, praising as it is, and the three wheels of praising, the praised, and the object of praise are pure and without any object of reference, praising as it is. Because all the actions of body, speech, and mind of a Bodhisattva with an object of reference become only merit; without an object of reference, it becomes a collection of merit and wisdom. That itself is said: Who praises and whom is praised? Since prostration is done without an object of reference, the person who praises and whom is praised, that is, there is no object of praise. From praising without an object of reference, praising in this way becomes praise, otherwise it is not praise at all. Since all dharmas are emptiness, who praises and whom is praised? Having abandoned birth and death, can I praise you? Having abandoned good and bad destinies, without coming and going, it is impossible to praise. Such and other things are said, which is the direct meaning. Or, I prostrate to you, that is, to the essence of Vairochana. Or, like prostrating, to the essence of Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, Akshobhya, and Amoghasiddhi. Similarly, how to praise and prostrate to you? This refers to prostrating to the essence of the sixth great Vajradhara. Here, it is prostration with the characteristic of following its nature. Therefore, it means entering into the great Vajradhara who becomes one with the nature of the five Tathagatas. Therefore, without difference, who praises and whom is praised, is like water and milk becoming one. This is the conclusion, which is the definitive meaning. Now, in order to show the nature of prostration that enters into its essence through examples, like putting water into water, like putting butter into butter, one's own wisdom, whatever is well seen is the prostration here. It is said, what is the prostration with the characteristic of following its nature? For example, water dug from two rivers

When things are completely merged and mixed together, there is not the slightest difference, just as no distinction can be made in water. Similarly, for a hundred parts of water coming from cold and warm places, would those skilled in touch perceive their differences at the place of measurement? If so, the second example is like ghee to ghee; if two kinds of ghee are mixed, there is no difference because they are the same in oiliness and color. Similarly, oneself, that is, the knowledge of the characteristics of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, one's own wisdom, that is, whatever is placed and clearly seen in the clear light of the nature of emptiness, that is prostration, and one prostrates because that itself is the fruit of prostration. Similarly, when a beginner takes refuge in the Three Jewels, they prostrate for the sake of attaining Buddhahood. Here, prostration itself is Buddhahood, so there is no difference between cause and effect. With this thought, the Bhagavan said in the Root Tantra: "The three supreme vajras are not mudras." Here, prostration is not prohibited, but rather it is said that one should rely on prostration in a way that accords with its nature, which is not (the author's) intention. If that were the case, if one could comprehend Suchness merely by prostrating, what would be the use of practice? To dispel this doubt, (the text says:) "However, without the realization of omniscience, that nature cannot be closely apprehended; covered by layers of darkness, one will obtain illumination through grace." The meaning of what is said is that one can attain realization merely by prostrating, but how can one attain realization as long as one has not learned the nature of prostration from the guru's mouth? Therefore, omniscience is considered to be the Vajra Acharya, because there is no difference between the guru and Vajradhara. Without the realization, that is, the comprehension of wisdom, obtained from that (Vajra Acharya), one cannot approach Suchness, just as it is said in the Queen of Sūtras that one attains the Bodhi of the Buddhas by relying on a spiritual friend. Similarly: Wrong
