In a state like a vase, the mind abides. It is not the intention that the mind becomes one-pointed only through the three qualities of causing joy, causing fullness, and being like a vase. The order of the Vajra recitation sequence: Entering and abiding, and also the sequence of rising, the yogi abides on the basis of wisdom and means, reciting the limbs of the mantra without deficiency. It is said that when the yogi returns in the sequence of entering, etc., the yogi abides on the basis of wisdom and means, that is, in the nature of the indivisibility of conventional and ultimate truth, and the three syllables of the mantra are not deficient, because the mantra and the deities are indivisible, one should recite the single nature, which is the straightforward meaning. Or, based on wisdom and means, that is, abiding in the union of the vajra and lotus of wisdom mudra and absorption, in the sequence of entering, etc., that is, in the sequence of desire and desirelessness and the mother of desire, the mantra, that is, the clear light, is not deficient in its limbs, and one should recite and experience the indivisibility of conventional and ultimate truth, which is the definitive meaning. Now, the number of recitations from the perspective of the number of breaths. Explanation of the recitation of white clothes, etc.: two hundred and twenty-five, when the four are well multiplied, the four combined are nine hundred. The nine hundred that are said, in the order of twenty-four, when they arise separately, are twenty-one thousand six hundred. It is said that here the yogi, in the four places of the secret place, etc., should contemplate the four whose nature is the four goddesses, such as the fire mandala and the white-clothed mother. Those mandalas are also each of the nature of the four great elements, because one great element is also the nature of the four. Therefore, with the number of two hundred and twenty-five parts of each mandala, one mandala has nine hundred. Those, in the sequence of entering, etc., the four mandalas become twelve during the day and twelve during the night, and in that sequence become twenty-one thousand six hundred. The idea is this: a day and night is sixty hours. Daytime

There are four sessions at night. Therefore, in one session of eight and a half hours, there are two thousand seven hundred vajra recitations for four mandalas. The three sessions also change in the same way, totaling one hundred and eighty thousand during the day and one hundred and eighty thousand at night. Thus, the vajra recitation becomes two hundred and sixteen thousand, which is the literal meaning. Now, in order to make this meaning reliable, following the spoken tantra, in order to clarify the reliability of the scripture, namely the inner time, it is said that the inner time is the order of the mandalas and the number of recitations from the Later Hevajra Tantra. With the ritual of the order, completely combine in the intervals of the four sessions, with the number of symbols and symbolized, recite the limbs of the mantra without deficiency. Wisdom is the Buddha's eye and so on, and their behavior is the four mandalas that have been blessed by them. Their ritual is to recite with the distinction of nine hundred and so on for each mandala in the order of entering and so on. "Completely combine in the intervals of the four sessions," that is what is said. In the day and night. "The mantra is three letters." The limbs are not deficient, just like before, inseparable from the deity yoga. The symbolized are the mandalas and so on. The symbols are the winds and so on, and by counting them, one should recite, which is the literal meaning. Now, the vajra recitation should be accepted. Meditation is obstructive, the yogi should abandon external recitation. The meaning of the mantra is Bhagavan Vajradhara, how does the vajra nature recite? This is the literal meaning. "External recitation is," refers to the difference of rosaries, and temporarily through distinction, it causes suffering to body, speech, and mind with the number of one hundred thousand and so on. That is the perfect yogi, who should be accustomed to vajra recitation, or having gone beyond it, should abandon and discard it. For the beginner or the yogi of the generation stage, it should not be abandoned, because for them, that is what should be accepted. What is external recitation? It is meditation, that is, the nature of luminosity.
