The very nature of being apart from me, the joy of the mind itself is nirvana, this is its meaning. The venerable Gampopa also said: The mind with defilements such as desire is samsara, being separated from it, in short, liberation is what the Victorious One said by abandoning the obscurations. Thus it is said. By abandoning and destroying the discriminations of samsara and nirvana, therefore, in any samadhi, things are one, and will not become different. Accomplishing that is union, that is, it is called the samadhi of non-abiding nirvana. Similarly, because it is immovable from the samadhi of clear light, it does not abide in samsara, and because it holds the rainbow-like wisdom body, it is able to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings, so it does not abide in nirvana, which is actually the indication of the name that is in accordance with the meaning of the stage of union. That is the common nature, that is, the intention. The special nature is: complete afflictions are completely purified, after realizing the ultimate truth, whoever knows its oneness, he knows the union. Thus it is said, complete afflictions, refers to the three realms condensed by what arises from the mind. Completely purified, refers to the virtuous dharmas that become its antidote. Similarly, the noble truth of suffering, the noble truth of origin, the noble truth of cessation, and the noble truth of the path, these four noble truths, as the venerable protector Tara said: Two are the truths of the noble hearers, and the other two are the noble truths. Therefore, if asked what are the truths of the noble ones, they are suffering and origin, because those noble beings who want to abandon samsara regard them as the true existence of cause and effect. Cessation and path, which become their antidotes, are noble because they are unconditioned and are themselves free from afflictions. Moreover, because it is preceded by correct knowledge and is established by valid cognition, it is truth.

It is completely purified, because it makes all afflictions especially purified and diminished, so it is completely purified, and it is the path gathered by the virtuous side. Therefore, through the sequence of the path of seeing and meditation, the afflictions of the three realms are gradually pacified. The yogis who have reached the other shore, through the distinction of the four moments, understand the dharmas that correspond to the part of determination, which is the Dharmakaya. Until the time of realization, there will be the appearance of conceptualizations of the unfavorable side and the antidote side. Because the self-nature of luminosity is manifested, in any samadhi, there will be no afflictions transformed by the unfavorable side and the antidote side, and the conceptualizations to be purified will not appear as the thought of "this is it." However, any yogi who knows and realizes oneness, that is, the nature of non-duality, then he understands the sequence of union, which is the meaning, not the intention. By placing the aspect of consciousness in front, one obtains undifferentiated samadhi. With things, the all-pervasive calculation, and The formless conceptualization, and The yogi who practices with one, He is the one who knows the union. Thus it is said, this is the view of some Vijnanavada. For example, any object that appears externally, such as a vase or a cloth, does not exist by its own nature, because it is self-illuminating. Any object that has the nature of self-illumination exists, like consciousness. Whatever is the illumination of another does not exist, because it is the power of another. Relying on another, it is only to be illuminated by consciousness. Therefore, whatever appearances there are, such as blue and yellow, are only dependent on consciousness, just like the image appearing in a mirror, which is the view of those who speak with consciousness, who universally calculate things, that is, the conceptualization that appears as an external collection arises. Other Vijnanavada thinkers think that: Immaculate and without

Like limitless space, having abandoned all defilements and purifications, the sole non-dual consciousness is not fit to be stained by those appearances that arise from meaning or appear therein, because it is pure by nature, like space. The appearance of sudden stains is merely non-appearance, because it is the Blessed Mother herself. Whatever is experienced as appearance is non-existent, like illusion, mirage, a double moon, and so forth; therefore, it is the sole non-dual consciousness, which is how Yogacharas conceive of non-duality. Thus, by comprehending the suchness of the two-fold luminosity, having made it one, that is, having made it of one taste, the yogi who practices and knows, abiding in the suchness of perfect accomplishment, that is union, that is, knowing the suchness of the nature of the sphere of non-abiding nirvana, that is seeing or hearing, this is not the intended meaning. The Madhyamaka view is: "The grasped and the grasper, both minds are non-existent; wherever there is no distinction, that is said to be union." Thus it is said, the Madhyamikas consider external graspings to be separate from one and many, therefore they do not exist. Therefore, since there is no grasped, there is also no grasper, therefore they say there is no grasper. Thus, according to their view, mind, that is, knowledge, does not exist as two aspects of the nature of the grasped and the grasper. Likewise, again and again, they say this: all these things are without nature, because they are separate from one and many, like reflections. Whatever things possess one and many, and so forth, like the twenty-five suchnesses that are completely imputed by others, are discordant aspects and are merely immeasurable, they say. Thus, for the Madhyamikas, there is no appearance of duality, because that is the aspect of ultimate truth, and in order to eliminate that, it is said: whatever samadhi of the nature of union is non-differentiating is one, conventional and ultimate
