Because the object of focus does not exist, and if one analyzes the self arising from the twenty towering mountains of the view of the aggregates, it is itself non-existent. A person who is not the nature of cause and effect also does not exist, because it is utterly non-existent, like a rabbit's horn. If it is said to be an illusion and not a result, then such a thing will not become an object of focus. If it is said that a person is both permanent and also comes into being, that is contradictory. It is also unreasonable for Ishvara to be both endowed with the power of an agent and also permanent, because since he is the agent, when the result arises, the cause is seen to cease. Therefore, it will become impermanent. It is unreasonable to say that the self is of a pervasive nature, because consciousness, faculties, and life cease. Since time is the nature of other and other moments, it does not exist by itself, so why should it be said that phenomena are matured and produced by time? Determination refers to death, and it is also unreasonable to say that it produces and gathers phenomena as desired, because if it is the cause, then its permanence will be destroyed. For those who speak of nature, it is unreasonable for things to be of various kinds, because nature is only one, and all would be seen to arise and perish simultaneously. Speaking of karma is also accepted by the power of investigation by the ignorant, but in reality, karma does not exist, because it is connected with the mind and is momentary, how could there be the power of karma? Similarly, karma depends on the agent, and without the agent and karma, there is no karma, and without karma, there is no agent, because they are mutually dependent, so neither is established. If everything is done by God, then why does he not make everything good or bad? If it is said that he has the power to create various things, then only power is the agent, not God, because their relationship has already been negated. Its kinds

Their merit and virtue should also be understood as before, and all things that can be harmed by measurement, such as these, should be completely separated and abandoned. If the Hearers think that this is indeed the case, but that it is also the nature of the aggregates of existence, etc., and that the Blessed One also said that "all" means the five aggregates, the twelve sources, and the eighteen elements, then that is also unreasonable, because only consciousness manifests those, since there is no external object in ultimate reality. Similarly, what is manifest is existent, and what is not manifest is non-existent. Forms and so on are also non-existent because they themselves do not manifest. That which manifests by its own nature is consciousness, so existence is only of its nature. If external objects were truly existent, then the appearance of consciousness would not be different for a single corpse of a dead woman. The woman's body is one, and is perceived as a corpse, an object of desire, and food. The dogs, driven by desire, have three different kinds of thoughts. Therefore, the aggregates and so on are not existent, and the Blessed One spoke in this way for the purpose of leading the Hearers. Therefore, one should abandon the aggregates, elements, and sources, and be separated from them. If the Yogācārins think that even if this is the case, all moving and non-moving things are only the appearance of consciousness, and that all are of its nature, then that is also unreasonable. What should be said about what is called consciousness? Because it makes one aware, it is consciousness. Then what does it make one aware of? If it is said that it is for the purpose of grasping one's own form, then because it is separated from one and many, there is no consciousness, and therefore there is no grasping. Furthermore, if it is a past, future, or present thing that generates consciousness, then for the time being, the past is not possible, because it has already perished. The future is also not possible, because it has not been obtained, so it does not appear. The present cannot generate consciousness either, because it is already endowed with momentariness and duality. Assuming that it is able to generate consciousness,
