Like the rainbow light in the sky, the appearance of a collection of five colors is neither existent nor non-existent; it should be understood as an illusion. This is the hidden meaning. After generating the deity, the actions of forming mudras, etc., should be performed by abiding in the realm of Suchness, keeping this in mind. When forming mudras, or reciting secret mantras, or doing anything else, one should abide in the basis of emptiness. It is said, forming mudras, such as external hand mudras, or internal hooks, or action mudras, and the actions or deeds of commentary on entering into samadhi, which are made clear through the oral recitation of secret mantras, or reciting and uttering sounds indistinctly through vajra recitation, similarly, doing other mandalas, samadhis, mudras, mantras, actions, methods of abiding, recitations, and fire offerings, etc., all of these should be done by abiding and dwelling in the basis of emptiness, that is, the place of luminosity. In this way, these actions will bear fruit and become a collection of merit and wisdom. Otherwise, like a generation stage yogi, it will only become a collection of merit, which is the ultimate meaning. Abiding in Suchness for all actions means: eating everything and drinking everything, prostrating to everyone and going everywhere, doing everything and all signs, will be accomplished through emptiness. It is said that the completion stage yogi accomplishes or will accomplish by relying on the fourth realm of Suchness, which is empty of everything. How is that? Eating everything means that at all times, in all places and in all directions, eating everything that is contradictory or non-contradictory will not be a fault. Similarly, drinking everything will not be a fault. Prostrating to everyone, that is, children and ordinary people, or noble ones, will not be a fault. Similarly, if one goes to all contradictory or non-contradictory places, etc., because one is going everywhere, there is no fault at that time, because it is a special attention to the knowledge of Suchness.

The attachment and so on that are seized by (afflictions) are the cause of attaining the supreme fruit, that is its meaning. As it is said in the Great Yoga Tantra, the Glorious First: "Desire, hatred, and ignorance, these three are great poisons. If stabilized by poison itself, it will approach poison. If stabilized by nectar itself, it will become nectar." And in the Sutra Pitaka Jewel Heap it is also said: "Light Protector, for example, fields of sugarcane, fields of rice, and gardens, a heap of manure is beneficial to them. Likewise, afflictions are beneficial to a Bodhisattva. Light Protector, for example, poison controlled by mantras and medicine does not kill, likewise, a Bodhisattva endowed with skillful means and wisdom will not be fallen by afflictions." Therefore, in the Tantra of Accomplishing Meaning, it is said: "Whoever causes confusion, he can also liberate the wise. Thus, by meditating on Bodhi, one can completely reverse these (afflictions)." And in other sutras it is also said: "Whatever fierce actions bind beings, if one has skillful means, one can be liberated from the bonds of existence." And so on, this is the ultimate meaning. Now, in order for the disciple who has received the oral instructions not to regress, in order to recite the Bodhicitta mantra spoken by the Bhagavan, bestowed by the Guru, thinking that one should make offerings in order to dispel obstacles. An auspicious disciple receives the oral instructions from a good teacher. Joining the palms and holding a flower, the so-called Bodhicitta mantra, the true meaning, should be received again from the Guru. Thus it is said. Receiving the oral instructions means receiving the order of manifest enlightenment. Auspicious means that because of manifesting Suchness, it is held as the nature body of the Five Tathagatas, as it is said in the Glorious Tantra of Equal Union of All Buddhas: "From all kinds of auspiciousness, practicing self is auspicious. Having the selflessness of Dharma, violating vows is inauspicious. In order to thoroughly accomplish existence, the Buddha..."
